You probably installed the mod incorrectly because it runs fine on my side and has been running fine for sometime now, try reinstalling it, make sure you read the instructions from the Trolley Kart mods steam page to on how to use the files in the info directory. Copy and paste to your main types.xml file basically.

the mod author will give answers to your questions also on his steam page chat.
