Adorable, charming, and developed completely with open source tools! I can't recommend this enough!

I bought it when it was pretty new. I don't love it, but it is good fun for an afternoon. I am aware there's at least two more (newer ones) of these, those may be a better choice!

But this? This is a fine game. The driving is a little wonky but the rest of the controls are great.

It's really relaxing, the artstyle is wonderful, the music helps lots and the little assets are great.

Update!: I keep coming back to it in little bursts. I love how you can mix and match all the assets to make new stuff. I adore the community posts that help me get inspiration, and I love setting my houses' environment to rain and just relaxing while I look at them.

If you like any of that, this game is for you!

The controls aren't as good as Ace Combat 7, because of the mouse.
Everything else though? I reckon it's better. I just wish I had a VR headset.

Dispatcher mode is lots of fun, I'm glad someone made a great *and* multiplayer-capable train simulator. It's also great to see something other than the usual Germany-USA-UK-Japan set of trains.

I like trains. This has loads of them and lets you mod more in. It checks all the boxes!

The game is good.
Everything around it... not so much.
It requires a new launcher. My saves were gone.
Couldn't be arsed to play it in the end. Pirated games are easier to deal with.

The experience is more enjoyable than train simulator and TSW by a long shot.

The missions are easy to understand and they range from a brisk walk to quite challenging. The ability to either use a normal locomotive or 20 shunters tied together (like I do) is simply hilarious, and all of the mechanics work quite intuitively.

The devs are fantastic and keep you updated on everything they're adding onto the game, they're working on mod support.

Plus it is an affordable game without 876890 DLC! That's very rare for simulator-ish games outside of ETS2 and ATS.

The only "negative" things I've run into is the fact that the map is broken in some bits (I believe it will be fixed in the SIMULATOR update, which is coming soon enough!) and that the remote controller is a hassle to use in non-vr mode.

It's fantastic overall and I definitely recommend it :D

Incredibly fun if you're into planes and shoot-en-ups, but look elsewhere for anything remotely realistic. :D
