Helldivers 2 was one of those games that wanted to cause as much chaos as possible, whether it'd be you causing chaos to the enemies or vice versa.

On the surface, Helldivers 2 is a PvE shooter where you and up to 3 other players gear up and take on completing certain objectives/missions on different (but still similar looking) planets; all in the name of Democracy for Super Earth. Use guns, explosives, lasers, vehicles, drones, turrets and mechs to win over the endless army of those who fight against our way of life.

At the minimum, missions can range from self-defense or holding objectives, to infiltrating enemy colonies or hunting specific beasts. To me, there's a good amount of variety to keep the game feeling fresh. But, of course, after some time, you'll feel like it's the same song and dance. Once that happens, the way to freshen things up would be to change difficulty.

Speaking of, there are tons of different levels of difficulties in the game. One will definitely suit you for the itch you're wanting to scratch. However, if you're playing solo, you'll quickly realize how the higher difficulties will require some buddies to even complete. As the difficulties ramp up, enemies will come in bigger numbers (with more health/armor) and in more varieties, forcing you to deal with new enounters you've haven't seen before. Continue to increase difficulty and the next hurdle will be environmental debuffs, where negative effects will incur throughout the mission, such as less stamina, or longer stratagem reloading time, etc. Despite all that, the rewards will come in greater numbers, so just be careful and gear up accordingly or things will go down south fast.

Your loadout is what will aid you in your survival on enemy territory. You can select various weaponry, such as assault rifles, shotguns, lasers, flamethrowers, and more. You can carry one primary weapon and one secondary (which are mostly pistols), with a side or grenades. Each item has pros and cons, so make sure you choose what's best for you. The armor also has pros and cons, where some are lighter armor but lets you move better, or vice versa. Armor will also carry a bonus ability, such as carrying more grenades, extra armor, more healing, and so on. Finally, you can select strategems, which are extra commands that will call your ship from above to either fire down, bring supplies, or other materials/gadgets. Experiment what's right for you!

Last thing I want to mention is the currency and related currency items. There are several types of currency or materials you collect in-game either on the field or as rewards for completing missions. Materials are used to upgrade your ship which, in-turn, can boost yourself or unlock new things. At some point, you'll upgrade enough where the ship will start to ask for a new material. In game, there are 3 types in total, so you only have to look for those, but they'll only appear in harder difficulties so be mindful of what you're getting into. The "Currency" in this game is to unlock armor, weapons, and other customization things in the form of some battle pass.
The "Pass" contains several pages of items and are locked unless you spend a certain amount in the previous pages. Most (if not all) passes are permanent and don't disappear, which is good! You start with one pass to spend your currency on, and can spend (what i'll call as) cash currency to unlock the other passes. Now cash currency is unfortunately best obtained by opening your wallet and throwing some paper or plastic over, especially if you want a large amount in a short amount of time. However, if you ignore that, you can obtain them in game as well, which is probably the best thing that can be done in a video game! If you're having a blast playing missions, be sure to find and pick up those currencies!

Overall, it's a great game to panic around, laugh about, accidentally murder your friends, and bring lots of chaos/. I would recommend if you like that style of gameplay. And, of course, I'd definitely play this with your friends. They'll enhance the experience tenfold.

As someone who enjoys space games, Elite Dangerous always had a special place in my heart. There are so many great experiences with the game and so many things that aren't so great. However, it's one of those games I'll personally come back and see what's up. This review will really be more as notes for people who will be starting out, should you decide to give the game a shot. I'm not really good at reviewing in general, so I apologize if you we're expecting an incredibly detailed and professional review.

Firstly, I personally label Elite Dangerous more as a 'Space Simulator' rather than a 'Space Arcade' game, in the sense that you can't necessarily pick up the game and play instantly. There's no main goal to strive for. Instead, it's more on you to decide what your goal is in Elite Dangerous. So really, the game can be as quick or as long as you'd like. However, In my opinion, the key thing about this game will always be time and effort.

First thing you'll realise are the controls. There's a lot of controls and features that can get quite specific. Because of such, the learning curve becomes quite steep and while the devs gives a tutorial and a safe zone for new players, it's never enough to really feel comfortable with the game unless you put your own time to experiment and get a good feel. To me, knowing how to plan your session, outfitting your ships appropriately and giving yourself extra time/resources to get the job done is usually the routine when playing; and there will be a good amount of buttons to press and click before it becomes muscle memory.

Speaking of planning your session, there's a good variety of things you can do/be in space as one would imagine. From being a bounty hunter chasing down or assassinating targets, to collecting minerals as a miner and boost economies, to being an explorer and travel to places players have yet to see; Elite Dangerous gives you the freedom to choose any path at any time. The game will always try give you missions/tasks that relate to what you'd like to do and will reward you for doing so.

There are a few downsides I personally feel are to be noted about Elite Dangerous. Firstly, this game will require A LOT of time. I know I already mentioned it a few times but I wanted to talk a bit on that here. I don't necessarily mean an exaggerated amount of time should be put aside early on, but I personally feel that new players barely get enough funds to travel or upgrade their ships. Because they start 'small', new players can only accept small tasks and very slowly gain funds, parts, resources, etc. Overall, you'd take a lot more missions to get a good amount of funds compared to mid-game where you have much larger ship with more outfitting possibilities.
However, once you begin to upgrade your things, everything will start to snowball and you'll find out you can take on better missions and get better rewards. I feel that's definitely something to aim for when playing.
To me, it's more the starting point that would probably turn a lot of people off since i know most would like to get into the 'action' sooner than later. If that's the case, unless you would like to personally experience the journey naturally, I recommend having an experienced friend or two to help get you a bit more of a 'comfortable' start.

Another concern I have is the risk of losing progress. Everything uses money, which is fair. It helps you buy equipment, materials, ships, guns, ammo, data, and much more. When you have a lot of money, you can do a lot of things easily. When you don't, things can take a lot more time and effort to get done.
With that quickly being said, there will be times where you will die. It could be from other players, NPCs, lack of fuel, shooting in a no-fire zone (I do that accidentally so many times T-T), and god knows what else. When you do, you lose your ship and everything inside unless you can pay for it back at a lighter cost. That's right, if you have the money, you can essentially get what precious ship you had before respawning (but unfortunately not what it was carrying).
That's all fine, but when you're grinding for cash, saving up for a nice ship and you finally get it, chances are you'll hardly have any funds left to make mistakes that will end up killing you. Otherwise, you can kiss that ship you saved up for, and all that progress towards it, goodbye.

I think this can also turn people away because of situations like this. To avoid it, generally, you would have to spend even more time to prepare yourself or your wallet to secure a backup or a safety measure if things go wrong (like having extra funds in case your ship dies or carrying extra inventory in case someone robs you). The key thing in all this is (again) making more time and effort to prepare in case such a scenario arises.

Those are really my downsides as someone viewing the game as a starter. Once you start giving time and effort, improving yourself & your ships, everything will start to feel more rewarding and your journey will be much more comfortable. Indeed, Elite Dangerous is all about the journey but I'd like all players to experience a comfortable journey too.

If you buy this game, congratulations Pilot and welcome. I wish you an amazing journey as you travel the stars.

When I was first introduced to Visual Novels, I had no idea which ones would be to my liking until I got my hands on the novel itself. Kimi to Kanojo to Kanojo no Koi (or YOU and ME and HER) was a visual novel I found years ago and, yet, could never try. Despite how few information and videos there were of the novel at the time, I was completely hooked on what I could find and wanted even more. No matter how much I saw, it saddened me how I would not be able to play this game.
Ever since, I had hopes and believed in a small miracle that one day, I would be able to read this game. For each year that passed, that hope would diminish until I accepted it would stay where it is forever.

Then on May 25, 2020, something happened that I wouldn't have thought to be possible. Kimi to Kanojo to Kanojo no Koi released in North America, in English. The excitement I got when I saw it on the Steam page brought me back to the first days I discovered this title. I was a few days late from launch but I finally managed to get a copy of the game I've wanted to read for years.

I've been a fan of the music since the beginning. It captures me and keeps me immersed in the story, where ever the story flows. Every now and then, I open up the game to listen to it's wonderful music. The artwork is quite nice in my opinion and their use of effects are incredibly clever. Reading the title, you may already have an idea on how the story may play out, but I encourage you to experience the ride because the journey is so unique, I'm very certain you won't find anything like this anywhere else.

All I can say is to just have fun reading it. Be confident in your choices and do not give up when you think you lost your way. You've just got to keep climbing. Take it one step at a time and face whatever lies ahead. You'll never know what's out there.

A fitting combination of FPS and RPG elements, Borderlands 2 keeps it's action-like intensity fueling with tons more loot, more enemies, more coop, and more badass-ness. While it is certainly a step up from Borderlands, this game continues to stay alive as SHiFT also continues to generate Golden Keys which, in game, lets you use the golden loot box to get some really cool items.

For anyone who likes to shoot along with their friends, or as a lone wolf, Borderlands 2 is sure to keep you busy with it's contents.

This game is quite entertaining to mess around with, in my opinion. Just beware of the long list of DLCs.

When I got the game, I couldn't start it up because it would freeze whenever I launch it. However, a simple Guide in the Community Hub had a community patch that fixed this problem. I haven't enountered any errors ever since. If you can't seem to get it working out of the box, try the Guides tab in the Community Hub to find a fixable patch before you decide to get a refund.

First, I would like to mention that Street Fighter X Tekken is a 2v2 Fighting game. Mainly, you fight in pairs of 2, allowing you to switch characters mid-battle. However, if either character in your pair reaches 0 HP, the round ends and the point is scored/tallied.

The game has the usual features with a couple of unique ones implemented.

One feature I really enjoy is the Versus Scramble Mode. This allows 4 players to be on the screen at once instead of the standard 2. In other words, you can have a Simulataneous 2v2 instead of Turn 2v2. This is great, as it allows my relatives to play with me and just hammer the AIs for fun.
However, the only portion I dislike is that you and your partner share HP, instead of having individual bars for each character. Once your bar reaches 0, both players in your pair are KO'd, regardless of who got hit.
I would much prefer individual bars, so that one player can continue, even if the other has been KO'd mid-battle. Who knows, maybe that one player may make a comeback.

Also, This game introduces Gems: boosts that can further aid your battles. These gems have small conditions to complete in game which, if completed, gives you bonuses to your character. These bonuses can include extra power, faster speed, auto Throw Escape, and even slowly regenerate your Special Meter.
Each character can only hold 3 gems, so choose wisely what you'd like to bring into a fight.

Finally, you can see that this game has a lot of DLCs to offer. Personally, I do not recommended getting any unless you really REALLY think it'll add more value to the experience. You can get a decent amount of enjoyment out of it without the DLCs. There are also other Street Fighter/Tekken games that you can buy with that same cash and it would probably be even better than what you're playing. Just look around for alternatives before devoting yourself to its' DLC.

I enjoyed this way more than I thought I would. It had very nice interactions and made me think of so many possibilities of how it would end, but it throws the intensity train of feelings right at you! lol
I won't say anything more because I'll probably end up running my mouth with spoilers here and there.

Well, what can you expect? It's just another fighting game.
Aside from it being a 2v2 Assist fighting game, the art/graphics in this game and fighting style does make it stand out compared to the other games. Who doesn't like girls fighting against one another in a struggle for glory? While the game itself offers very little, the actual fighting portion is very enjoyable, but maybe too difficult. Mashing buttons as a beginner, or performing combos as an experienced verteran, this game is worth playing a few times times over.

There are very little choices in the main menu; but, on the character selection screen, you can mix and match mostly any two characters of your liking. Even though there's a decent roster to choose from, there aren't too many characters you're probably used to having in modern fighting games. Unfortunately, these characters are also divided into 2 categories: the Fighter themselves and the Assist Character. You must select one of each.

Using a controller seems to work by "chance". while some controllers work great and have no problems, others would fail on a button or two. It really does confuse you on whether it's the game or the controller that's causing the problem. I prefer to use my keyboard in my opinion. At least the computer knows that each key works. The mapping for the controller is also a basic, click to assign button, and actually pressing the button you want to assign it to. The problem lies in the analog stick. While some people don't mind using the analog stick in their gamepad, others find it simpler to use the D-Pad. However, as far as I know, the game would not let me use my D-Pad. It could just be by "chance" but I didn't think playing comfortably would be so difficult.

And lastly, from the forums and the internet, many have found Vanguard Princess a disappointment because of the lack in progress. As the developer brings up an idea for the future, the spotlight shines away. This caused people to believe that bringing in campaigns and such to be "a scam for your money" and is not to be trusted until improvments has been occuring.
What hurts more is how there is a free version of the game as well, but audio/text would be in another language.

I personally bought this game in support. I have seen many small companies or just a single person, bring a game to life and cross harsh paths or even stop their dream because of competitions, old engines, or even because no one would realise it's potential; and when you reach out to your fans who bought the game, they won't even offer help out because are aren't doing so well in creating your game. There are millions of problems that can cause games to suffer and eventually, become nothing more than history.

I personally see a bit of potential in this game, despite the many people that disagree with me and despite the fact that the game has progress nowhere for a long time. I just believe that hard work needs to be done. It is a difficult job to bring something to life and to keep it alive.

Buying in this game is really up to you. If you want to support, buy this game. If not, I believe the internet is your friend that will find a nice alternative.

Oh Hyun-ae*, lets travel the world and solve mysteries together~

Totally love this Visual Novel. It's very different than the layout Visual Novels usually are (well, in my opinion anyways). I feel completely free to choose what to read and when to read it. There's definately some replayability in there, since there are always multiple endings to go for, so that's a win in my books!

Ready to tackle on more mysteries, Detective Hyun-ae*?
