So I didn’t get the chance to really enjoy this game when it came out as I was focused on other fps titles at the time. I really only started playing this in the last couple years together with my partner and I must say it has been a LOT of fun!

As someone who grew up on FPS titles like counter-strike and half-life, I often find myself looking for something to fill that niche and return to the fun and simplicity of the genre. Many modern shooters feel more like a job than a game these days with the constant fomo of skin collecting, loot crates, daily/weekly tasks, etc.

Left 4 Dead 2 is just plain, enjoyable, fast-paced fun! The characters are relatable, the variety of specialty zombies keeps you constantly alert and looking for better ways to strategize your escape to safety, and the maps feel open enough to allow freedom and exploration while keeping you on the rails towards progress and the next objective.

The gunplay is satisfying, and there is enough variety in weapons to make each campaign feel new and fresh.

I’m so sad I missed out on this game when it really took off back in the day, but what makes it so special is that it feels timeless, and is likely something I’ll return back to again and again!

My playtime on here doesn’t equate to the amount of time I’ve fully immersed into this game as I’ve played it on other platforms as well.

I start this off by saying, I never used to think of myself as a fun of games that feel into the “walking sim” or narrative-focused exploration games. That quickly changed with What Remains of Edith Finch.

The game does a great job of drawing you in with a hauntingly familiar but unsettling atmosphere, and gives you just enough freedom to explore and discover the beginnings of a deep and engaging story through your own senses and context clues.

I found myself wanting to continue the journey at the end of every “chapter” to find out more about this family and the secrets held within this once thriving, now forgotten place. The gameplay is unique and changes with each mini story and it was find to see what tasks you’d be occupied with while listening in on secrets of the past, and reliving the lives and ghosts of a families experience.

The themes of trauma, loss, mental illness, family dynamics and love that this game explores have incredible depth and I found myself wanting to experience it over again to see if there were things I missed, or anything I could pick up on now that I had new information and experiences.

I think every person should play this game at least once, even if it seems like a genre of games you don’t usually relate to!

This is the perfect game to put on in the background while you’re working on something else or need a little background to keep you company.

I find myself playing this game often when I’m not entirely sure what I want to do with my time and find it really helps to get me back on track and focus on something I enjoy. It’s allowed me to delve back into hobbies, crafts and drawing which I always seem to push aside when life feels too busy, but this game has allowed me to fall back in love with so much I’ve missed.

The game features a built-in task list, journal, habit tracker and timer, including a pomodoro setting which is really nice. While the features are fairly basic, it’s cool to be able to track them within the game itself. The game also encourages you to use these features by offering bonus xp on your first timer and task each day. As someone who generally struggles with consistency in this realm, it helps a lot!

Don’t be fooled though, there is more to do than just idle along in the background. A wide range of customization is available to both your character and the rooms in which they exist. I find myself constantly changing up outfits and room setups depending on my mood, the season, time of day or vibe. It’s a fun way to feel more immersed into the world and have a friend besides you while you draw, study, craft, read or relax.

The music is great and as a fan of lofi and ambient music it’s a nice opportunity to have everything all in one place rather than losing time on YouTube trying to find the perfect background atmosphere.

There is also the opportunity to constantly discover new spirit companions throughout your time in the game. It’s a fun way to change up your activities and try different combinations in order to find them all!

There are several DLCs which add new rooms, a wide range of customization and additional spirits with a new DLC just recently announced!

I got this game on sale but given how much time and benefit I’ve gotten from it already, I probably would have purchased at full price.

I'm constantly looking for games to fill the in-between spaces when I need a break or an opportunity to unwind. As an avid fan of both fishing games and idling games, Fischer's Fishing Journey provides a blend of both and creates a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere to just kick back, fish and hang out with your animal friends.

A great companion for studying, or for company on a quiet evening, Fischer will stay with you through night and day to fish, drink a soda, and enjoy the stillness of the world.

This game also has a lot to unlock, a custom fish tank that provides an additional passive income and allows you to keep your favorite catches, and lots of opportunities to keep playing for additional awards, customization, and achievements.

Frog cuts the grass while you study. Frog takes a rest and so do you. Frog lives on a beautiful little island that floats on your desktop. Frog does not have any worries, and life feels good. Frog gambles on the lottery to unlock cool new hats and scenery. Frog cuts the grass while you find a moment to rest and breathe <3

Endless fun

"Well, the pilot thought we were headin' to your mother's house, heh. So far this all looks familiar."

An overall beautiful game and experience. The dialogue, atmosphere, music and simplicity come together to tell a great story about life's inevitble changes, regrets and difficulties through the life of a fox.

At the same time, there are enough collectibles and secrets to make it feel more like a true "game" rather than a walking simulator.

My only issue was the controls. The camera and jumping are a little clunky and could definitely be improved to provide an easier and more immersive experience.

I would definitely reccomend this game and would aslo say it should be played in one single session, should only take an hour or two.

So much I could say about a game that's just so simple and pure.

It's the perfect game to play at the end of a long, stressful day. The atmosphere reminds me of good memories in my past...it brings me back in time to those childhood days that we all long to return to, before all of the innocence was lost. There is something familiar and almost nostalgic in the beautiful artwork and textures throughout the lands of Meadow. Everytime I adventure, I feel like I've been there before, and I am returning to a place of warmth and love which I had forgotten about.

It is amazing how much can be accomplished and how well so many others can cooperate with a few simple emotes and actions in order to adventure around the world, collecting flowers, breaking down mysterious obelisks for treasures, eating food, exploring deep, hidden caves, climbing to the mountain tops or just lounging around in the beautiful forests.

The music is phenomenal, and so fitting to the rest of the wonderful atmosphere this world has to offer. Everything in the game feels positive and relaxing to me. You can meet up with totally unknown strangers in the form of cute animals and connect on some level in this magical little world. There is no text or voice chat, which works wonders in the long run. This game is almost troll/grief-proof and I love it for that.

I imagine playing this game for many hours more, well into the future. It calms me down, while at the same time engaging my interests to explore and adventure into the unknown with friends and strangers alike. This game is well worth the money, and I encourage you check out the other games Shelter 1/2 and Paws if you get the chance.
