just let the painful, dreadful, burning memory fade away. let it all fade away like how everything bad that's ever happened should. let me forget. let everything ive done wrong fade away, let me let it go, let me forgive myself. let me be, dont try and confront it. i know what i did wrong, and i regret it. it eats me like a termite with wood. every day. every hour. every minute. and every second. confronting me only makes the guilt and pain worsen, and drives me closer and closer to a sleep so deep not even the world ending would wake me.
