Hello,

I've played all the Homeworld games, from 1 to the remaster, from the Desserts of Kharak to this game. I know many people, knew fans and old have very mixed opinions of the game. The story is a bit cliche, and some of the moments were forced this is true. I had to shed my rose tinted glasses to see the short coming of the game but I feel like it must be said that, even without the nostalgia factor of the game, I am truly glad they chose to make the game this way. It has enough of the elements of the first two Homeworld games and a lot of positive influence from Desserts of Kharak without simply being more of the same of either two inspiration sources.

Homeworld 3, to me, feels like a good, albeit slightly rushed, finale to the saga of Hiigara and her people. The missions of the game were fun and involving with just the right amount of risk to be engaging enough for old players and forgiving enough to new ones. The 3D cinematics felt like a good addition, but could have been done better (also the fact that the game still continues while in a cutscene is such a low blow, I get the need for immersion but in an RTS game you can't just rob player control to show something. This I would ask to be fixed). Lastly, the gameplay is just as I remember if not better, I got to experience all ships of all classes and I love the way the new system carries itself; small constructive note though, the corvette class could use more units than just the railgun for the campaign faction, I would love to see this in future expansions.

Overall I did love the game immensely but I understand where the criticisms come from.
