I highly recommend playing this game, it has such good gameloop. mechanics, and playerbase that you can't ever get tired of even after 100%ing it (which still takes a lot of time and dedication to do).
I know how slow it can kinda get at the beginning with all the stuff you have to unlock with assigments (from weapons to even features like the mineral trades, the hazard 5 and 5+ difficulties, and the deep dive gamemode), on top of whole weapon modifiers with the name of overclocks being locked away with matrix cores you have to obtain through assigments or deep dives (which is also yet another ability you need to unlock with an extra assigment), but Ghost Ship Games done this on purpose to ease new players in, in an enviroment with lower difficulties like Hazard 3, by just worrying and learning about the core aspect of the game (mining and gunning glyphids down), as well as learning how each of the four classes work.
There's also the fact that anyone can just hop in into anyone's game, and be greeted by a very welcoming community of players that at worst just lets you know what to do with the single function of pinging objects (ctrl + left click by default) while saying nothing in text or voice chat, and at best are very vocal and guide you through the game (specially if asked to) by answering and showing you how something you're struggling with works; If one player still feels overwhelmed by playing online the game also offers an offline "Solo" mode where it's just you and one robot helper named "Bosco" that can help you with varying tasks like damaging enemy bugs, mining veins of minerals that's unreachable, and also help you in specific mission types like building / repairing the pipes in the On-Site Refining mission type.
This is a game i've adored since the trial i first had via xbox gamepass on PC back in early 2021 (and bought the Steam version as soon as the trial ended), and hope this game and its playerbase can flourish in the future, even with the advent of its sequel Rogue Core.
