It so much feels like a straight up copy of the original DOOM. Movement feels laggy, even though I get a consistent 100 fps, as if there's a delay in between clicking my keyboard and the action taking place. Someone playing it for the first time would want to atleast have an introductory level. The first enemies you encounter are three guys with a chainsaw, and all you have are two sickles, which take a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of time to kill them. Not fun at all. The soundtrack is good, but it just doesn't go well with the maps too, which feel like a maze most of the time. Not to mention there's no checkpoint/autosave, so I had to replay the same level from the start as soon as I died (which wasn't much, but way too annoying). Later found out that you have to manually save it from the pause menu, which too was through the loading screen.

Rise and shine, Mr. Freeman, rise and shine... Not that I wish to imply that you have been sleeping on the job. No one is more deserving of a rest, and all the effort in the world would have gone to waste until... Well, lets just say your hour has come again. The right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world.
So, wake up Mr. Freeman.

I am a 45 yo mother, probably one of the oldest people playing this game. I am a single mother to my Son, who is 14 now. My son got this game immediately after release. By the end of the week he had 24 hours on this game. This was horrible for me, as it was already hard for me to find ways to spend time with my son, as he is always out with his friends or just watching YouTube. So I decided to make a Steam account and get this game to see if I could maybe play alongside him. I loaded into the game, picked my character and started playing but I was stuck on what you where supposed to do. I asked my Son for help and he hosted a game for me to join. I loved it as it was the best time I had spent with my Son since my wife had died. This game has ever since brought me and my son closer again and now we actually spend time together outside the house together as well. This game reminded me that there's fun to be had in everything, and it has brought both me and my Son many happy memories.
