I just finished Act 1 and I can already tell this is not only game of the year, but this might be the best game I've ever played and I haven't even finished it. Now to be fair, Divinity: Original Sin 2 is my favorite game of all time, so I knew I was gonna like this and I bought it during the EA period to support Larian but never really played it (I played maybe 1-2 hours). This game is phenomenal. The dialogue, the voice acting, the quests, the gameplay, the map design, the graphics, everything. I have yet to spot more than maybe 3-4 bugs. One of them made me lost 3 hours of progress, but I didn't mind that cause it gave me an excuse to switch characters. Another teleported me but it wasn't a big deal (in fact it actually helped me lol but still a bug nonetheless), and the other 2 were cosmetic. This game is practically flawless, and once again I still have 2 more Acts to do. If these remaining 2 are as good as Act 1 this game will be a masterpiece in my eyes. Well done Larian, it's a shame you're the only developers these days who are able to set such a high standard.

I wrote a review originally at 10 hours of gameplay saying how much I was enjoying this game and how great I thought the future of the campaign would be. About 100 hours later I can confidently say this is the best game I have ever played, only third to Zelda: OOT and MM. And those are only up there because they have immense sentimental value to me besides their amazing stories and good gameplay (especially for the time). This game is the pure definition of a masterpiece, and I felt a need to delete and rewrite my review because the game is on sale now. You are actively doing yourself a disservice by not purchasing this game and playing it. It is a masterpiece in every regard. Gameplay, story, characters, setting, everything. I cannot think of a single flaw with this game other than that I wish there was more content after 100 hours. I wish Larian could release story DLC at $30 so I could buy it to show them how much I love them. At $18 the amount of replayability you get and the immense amount of content and emotional value from that price is stellar. At full price this game is a steal. Stop reading this and buy the game already, this will go down in history as one of the best games every created, especially as an indie title.
