Arc Raiders has amazing potential. I like the PvP and it has very satisfying PvE. I think both need to be improved though. I will make this review positive if the game improves in updates.

Stuff I like:
1. The ARC enemies are really cool and very satisfying to fight. The AI is very good, and it offers a fun challenge, though I think that could be pushed more. Smaller ones which can move around in buildings and shoot would be a great addition.
2. The sound is great, and the fact that sound is such a big part of gameplay (listening for other players, etc) This aspect is masterfully done!
3. I like the style of the game and the whole idea of underground extraction, and the surface being the warzone. (unlike others where you are dropped onto an alien world etc.) Please epand on the lore. The mystery is good, but we need a bit more. I like it so far!
4. The PvP is pretty good though it needs more balance with the weapons and gear.

Critique:
1. PvP has no objectives other than griefing other players, and too much loot is gained through it.
2. Since there are no factions or teams, the PvP is forced to be completely random. Having two factions, or two teams you can choose to be on, or placed randomly, so you can join with your squad would be much better
3. PvE weapons such as the Hullcracker have no effect on other players, this is not good in a PvPvE game as players need to be able to defend themselves without having to switch weapons and carry crazy weight
4. ARC aggro never goes towards griefers because they are not firing at them, only at players which are firing at them
5. Lorewise, the PvP doesn't really make any sense. If humanity is fighting off the robots that have taken over earth, why would they be fighting each other? This needs to be developed.
6. Upgraded gear barely matters in PvP. A player with weak ass light ammo weapons can take down a heavy shield player in no time, and the heavy ammo epic weapons do not do enough damage to players, and the heavy weapons that are designed to take down large arc enemies have little to no effect on players
7. The knockout thing is very weird and not needed. Just have kills happen like other PvP games, Having to finish someone who has crawled where there is no cover with a weird melee attack exposes the victor to getting ganked by the other nearby players.

Suggestions:
Make Arc smarter, and harder to avoid. This will cut down on some of the griefing because currently I can sneak wherever I want and wait for another player to get engaged with ARC and take them out with ease. This is not fun for anyone. (maybe fun for some people, but they are not real PvP players)

Diversify the shape of ARC (they are all crabs of some sort) How about quadrupeds, bipeds, birds?

Have two factions or random teams assigned per round. There needs to be teams for PvPvE to work. This also cuts down on griefing greatly, and makes fighting over the resources and bosses actually fun.

Balance gear for PvP and PvE. There doesn't need to be separate gear for PvP and PvP especially if the modes are not separated. Make the badass guns do awesome damage to ARC and players alike, and make the cheap, nothing guns do very little damage to either. The idea that light ammo guns doing little damage to ARC will make it difficult for griefers does not work for two reasons: Arc can be easily avoided as I mentioned. We can gank the player and take their gun to finish off the ARC enemy they were fighting very easily.

Make it so shields and weapons do not drop for PvP players. Just inventory.

Have PvP objectives. Example: in the rocket assembly, have something which takes quite some time to loot and is very heavy which is very valuable to a team. each team will attempt to get this item, and extract with it. (rewards distributed to the whole team after the round) Teams would try to protect the player carrying the item, and the other team will try to kill all the protectors and take it instead.

Don't listen to the PvP griefers who say not to change the game and that your peak numbers came from that. The game itself is the reason for your success, not the rats and campers. If you improve on the PvPvE, and make it more balanced, and fun for all, you will really have something in the long run. If you don't listen to the majority of your players, who are tired of being shot in the back of the head by a noob with a weak ass gun, while they were having fun fighting a giant robot, then you will lose all of your more influential players, and the game will be forgotten when the next hot game comes out. Many will go back to playing COD and BF, and others will go elsewhere (like me).

Tiltbrush is by far the most enjoyable VR experience so far. Which a few years from now people might say is not saying much. But we are still just getting started understanding VR, which is a testament to the amazing people that created this beautiful experience! They knew less back when they were creating Tiltbrush about VR than we do now, but yet they somehow already knew more :)

This is WAY better than I thought it was going to be. I initially started playing this back in October for research since it has some similar mechanics I'm interested in for my own game. It shortly after was nominated for tons of awards at the upcoming DICE, so I played it some more and, was like, this is pretty damn good! I didn't have time to return to it for awhile, but then it won game of the year at DICE, so I played it again. I was like, yeah this is pretty awesome but game of the year???

I was having trouble getting going with it, as the combat pace is VERY fast, and requires the use of ALL of the characters skills (you cannot just move around and attack, which you do need to become adept at, but you also need to master the use of special, and cast!)

I also thought maybe it is meant to be played with a controller which I don't he for my PC, and that's why I was having so much trouble surviving, but then I slowly started getting enough skills to survive and unlocking more things and suddenly, I'm not sure exactly when, I was like , "now I get it!! This is definitely the best game I played in 2020!!!" Risk of Rain 2 was also another amazing Rogue-like run/unlock game, but it actually doesn't even come close.

The skills to even survive very long, much less get very far in Hades are definitely very hard to develop and some people probably won't be able to, so in some ways I think from an accessibility standpoint it might be hard to call it game of the year, but for those of you who can begin to survive consistently past Tartarus, this game will simply not disappoint you, and you will seriously fall in love with it!!

The art style and the dialogue and music and everything with this, gives me a feeling that brings me back to the days of the arcade, which nothing has done for me in a LONG time!

I'm gonna go put in another token and do a run right now!

This game is incredible!! Mad props to Iron Gate!! The sound is amazing and so atmospheric!! The combat is so immersive and the theme and feel bring me back to the early days of Ultima and makes me love RPGs again! Not to mention the crafting and construction system!! This game may be an absolute masterpiece. Hard to believe it is still early access with so few bugs!! This is such a great game!!

This is the most fun way to work out I have found in my life so far besides actual sports. I'm sure E Sports that will be coming soon will be even more fun than that.

I highly recommend getting YUR.fit, which tracks calories burned in all VR apps. It has an overlay which is nice and also tells time. On Oculus Quest it now has a wristwatch interface too!

Anyway, this is great and I now have 24/26 steam achievements and looking forward to getting the last 2. Then it will be the first game I have ever gotten every single achievement for!

This game is my first survival game I've played. I love it so far! I really like the combat style and crafting systems. The movement is nice too. There isn't much hand-holding in this game and I am used to that from games way back in the day like Shadow Bane.

This is a great step for VR! Great sound, awesome design, and cool VR puzzles! I'm about half way through now and liking the game very much.
