I haven't locked into battlefield so hard in such a long damn time, 2042 was just not hitting right and felt more like a hero shooter with battlefield mechanics. This more so feels like Bad Company 2 with a little bit of COD in it. (This isn't surprising since alot of the Battlefield 6 devs are from older COD games, I even heard the old BO2 director was in on it which is pretty damn peak by itself so clearly they had good standards off the gate.) Don't get me wrong, there's a decent amount aspects that are trying to snag at the newer COD brainwashed kids like unrestricted weapons and CQC map dynamics. (They simply "class locked" weapons with the class perks, so they can run any weapon but only gain perks if they have the weapon with its right proficiency.) Aside from all the controversy, this game hits right on the battlefield aspect it was meant to be, only issue being the grind is a bit more intensive for gear you might want but that's pretty alright as I'm definitely more dedicated to this than most games in my library. Phantom edition price is stretched a bit because of the lacking material it gave so just buy the regular edition and grind the better skins and whatnot yourself.

Glad to have battlefield back.
