After playing the MP beta I was sceptical, but purchased DOOM for it's Single Player Campaign (as it really should be).
It's F***ING good!

- Optimised (feels smooth unlike beta release)
- Fast Paced
- Feels like Doom but with a modern addition
- Gory AF
- Combat is fluent
- Guns just feel good
- Tactical play style required
- SECRETS! [Feel rewarded! but there's no gain without pain in DOOM]

You will definitely feel the pinch at times with a "Low Health" warning, and "Low Ammo" warning on your guns to be reduced to your pistol, or even the chainsaw just to gain those final few rounds of ammunition, whilst avoiding death.

They mix it up with confined area gameplay, and open area combat and the transissions feel close to seamless.

So what's the downfall?
- Storyline isn't exactly straight in your face like other games (but that's how I've always felt the original DOOM games were like so not really a negative for myself)
- Invisible walls? Some cliffs you can jump off and commit suicide, others you can't, sitting there like "LOLWTFBRUV!?"
- Checkpoints... legitimately this is one of the only gripes I actually have... sometimes you can clear a whole area, then find yourself attempting to find a secret, only to slip from a stupid move and die... and that's when you find out the checkpoint is located in a further section after the combat. So just because it's safe it doesn't mean you've reached a safety net yet. [Repeated 2 areas due to this]
