Not big on story, but it's all action and frantic loot gathering. Get it before your friends do. Get it from your friend's character corpse when they have a run of misfortune in the dungeon. Guild Wars 2 Is Now On Steam -- Core Game Is Free To Play

2022-08-26: On it's 10th anniversary, Guild Wars 2 has finally come to Steam! If you've never played before, now is a good time to give it a try! If you like what you experience, there's currently three expansions and nearly six seasons-worth (content that takes place between expansion stories) of adventure!

If you have an old original account and are able to reactivate it, your old characters might have some birthday presents waiting with some special items. If you've purchased the core game in the past on your original account, you won't have the restrictions that free-to-play(ers) have. Just add it as a non-Steam game. You might miss some bells and whistles like the community but you can still post in the chat forum.
