It's a great combination of storytelling, combat, and rougelike mechanics. But, it's not any one type of game, and there are a bunch of ways to play. One day, you could go out and conquer an entire region, and the next your could work on managing your workers and building your city. There is just much playable and, most importantly, interactive content that you will never not be satisfied. The only thing you might not like about the game is how easy it can be to use "hirelings" with bows to defeat enemies. The combat is always interesting, though, and does take strategy and skill. The best thing about the game is the amount of content, making part of the strategy being choosing what to bring on your adventure. 9/10 game.
