Amazing storytelling with lots of different paths and quests to take, character development, fully fleshed out realistic middle ages medieval combat

Nothing better than murdering a bard that enters your camp in delight and interest, looking for adventure, only for you to then proceed to gaslight the ♥♥♥♥ out of everyone, continuously avoiding blame. Bless D20's.

The state the game is in isn't much surprising should you compare it to previous titles at launch, especially it's predecessor, though I must admit I was taken aback by the scale of network issues the multiplayer aspect has.

However, I certainly didn't expect to put 3 hours into it, finding myself Alt+F4'ing pretty much every time I actually got into a server due to all the intermittent connections issues as well as the server crashes. Of these 3 hours, a solid 1 was just enjoying the Tutorial and about 1 hour and a half, sadly, was just trying to join servers. That leaves me at a measly half hour of actual gameplay I'd say.

Though some of those 30 minutes have ended with me closing the game to play my usual titles due to some of the above, I can only wonder and look forward to the wider scope and the amount of effort that was invested in Arma 3 and what that became.

Is it worth the $30+?
I don't think so, given the state of the gaming industry. I am however an avid Arma fan and will try to support the team this way :D

A leaving note, this isn't Arma 4 and most certainly not Arma 3 and as such doesn't warrant any comparison to it.

87 hours in, game is enjoyable, had a rough start, some builds are broken af

I 100% recommend the PvE content (cool lore, ability to solo most content in the game, gear progression is very linear, you don't have to pay for anything to be able to play through pretty much all the content).

However when it comes to PvP it plays extremely different to other MMO's, especially as an ARPG...this being said, CC is way too important and it takes a very very long time to grasp the dynamic behind every type of CC and how to counter it effectively (though I must admit, certain classes are extremely biased and way better than others at PvP and vice versa when it comes to PvE content).
