Far Cry has always been a wonderful franchise for me. If I hadn't played Far Cry 3 so many times, I would have probably left a positive review. But, I can't recommend Far Cry 5. So, I'll go for a list of pros and cons.

- Can drive choppers and planes
- Fun weapons
- Great scenery
- Large map
- Guns-for-hire/fighters are a nice touch (It's fun to watch your pet cougar wreck people)
- Lots of missions, side missions, and small lootable areas.
- Lots of loot


- Extremely disappointing ending and I assume the cliffhanger picks up with FC: New Dawn.

- Your character is basically faceless, voiceless, emotionless, and barely present. (Jason Brody was what made FC3 more personable)

- I feel like this video game has the potential of misrepresenting the Christian faith and painting it in a bad light. Christianity is not about war, violence, control, or things of that sort. But the game (or cult) twists Biblical scripture and references in a heretical way. Remember, this game's antagonist is a cult, not an accurate representation of the Christian religion.

- Vehicle bugs

- Crappy AI

- Swimming is worthless and slow even with an enhancement perk applied.

- No chance to go back and play your current game after beating the game without restarting in a different mode

- Opponents are basically blind or have what appears to be 20/20 vision depending on the scenario. (Planes can spot you under thick forest from 300m up and MESS YOU UP while some cultists don't notice you when you're crouched on a box 20m from them in plain sight)

- NPC dialogue is repetitive and dry. (Let me loot bodies in peace without being passive aggressive every time, thanks)

- Hunting is honestly pretty useless except for some spare cash. There is no use for the skins except to sell.

- Setting a waypoint and then fast traveling somewhere to get closer to it will usually remove the waypoint

- The cut scenes are quite long and usually unskippable.

- You are often "hunted," "blessed," or "marked" which result in unavoidable ambushes leading to more lengthy cut scenes as a part of the story.


I'll edit this review further as I remember both pros and cons.

Again, this game would probably be excellent for anyone that hasn't played Far Cry 3. I believe FC3 is the pinnacle of the Far Cry franchise and it is simply hard to beat the story, character development, and resonance of FC3. I acknowledge that I am biased due to my prior experience of playing FC3, but it is what it is. Go play Far Cry 3 for an excellent Far Cry experience if you liked FC5.

Beat the campaign in 30 hours. I like to loot and take my time exploring, so it took me extra time to beat. Loved the story, love the attention to detail when it comes to finding hidden loot/gear.

Pro Tip: Don't do the last mission until you're level 30+ unless you wanna get domed and one tapped by almost every enemy...

I wish I could recommend this game, but it has changed so much. I played the "normal" edition (less playable civilizations, simpler mechanics, etc) of Civ 3 for 100s of hours as a kid. This game was a big part of my childhood. But, I do believe there must have been some digression and tweaking done for the "complete" version.

The game seems very unbalanced, there are some bugs when talking to other civilizations (Windows 10), and it was just genuinely harder than it used to be even on the easiest settings. The combat mechanics bring a lot of unbalanced struggle to the game, unfortunately. It is frustrating to lose a majority of your army to one or two enemy units. It didn't used to be like that.

Second time beating the games (once on steam, once when I was like 10) and both times, it was enraging but worthwhile. You die a lot, so don't rush into stuff. But, if you do rush into stuff, don't be stupid. For the most elite clone unit in the galaxy, the AI commandos aren't that smart. Nevertheless, great story.

Just beat the game for the fourth time (once on steam, three times on Xbox 360). It remains to be one of the most fun games I've ever played and definitely top 5.

I'm a sucker for games with a rich story and this game holds that to be very true. The first playthrough I did with this ended with me being in awe for a good day or two. I highly recommend if you love stories, action (or stealth) and some good music.

A simplistic mix of Halo and Minecraft. I love it. Great value for a great game!

However, the controls are a bit wonky and not very user-friendly. Otherwise, a great game!

Reliving my childhood... level by level, character by character.

Such a wonderful game. I played this for hours and hours as a kid and still played a lot.

I now have 1,500,000,000 studs... too rich for my own good.

A fun game that requires a lot of skill, time, and memorization. It requires a lot of teamwork, strategy, and perseverance.

Pros:
- Strategy
- Realistic (In mechanics of the game such as spray patterns, etc)
- Team building
- Requires skill
- Has epic skins

Cons:
- Community can be toxic
- Hard to get good as this is an older game
- Very rage inducing
- Only certain guns have sights
- The gun sounds are unrealistic
- Good skins are expensive

Overall, I enjoy the game and would definately recommend it!
