This game has fantastic potential but as someone who has played lethal company and content warning this game needs drastic attention to a few things.

Firstly with the positive:
The character design is simple and strong
The focus on hiding rather than running away is unique to this game and helps it stand out in the genre
There is attention to fun with silly objects that create funny moments
The physics gameplay of handling objects is rather fun

Now with the negative:
The biggest one: NO CLEAR LOSE CONDITION! We've had runs where a monster damgaes all our items or someone gets killed and we spend a good 20-30 mins searching the whole area to find nothing. If there isn't any way we can win why does the game carry on? Makes for incredibly boring gameplay.

THE MARKETING FOR THIS GAME IS TERRIBLE! The cringe "creepy" emoji makes the game look trashy. You have strong character design why aren't you using that? why not use your robots as emojis? It's baffling.

The game is super promising though, and deserves all the attention its been getting! Can't wait to see how it develops.

STILL UNOPTIMISED!
FIX THE BUGS, FIX THE PERFORMANCE BEFORE ADDING NEW CONTENT!

The devs don't playtest their own game. The burrowing enemies are mostly okay but the spewer is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ goofy and annoying to deal with. Why does it still have perfect aim when being shot in the neck with a gun? Why is it armoured and has barely any of it showing when emerging? The animations for it are also cartoony and sloppy.

In-mission gameplay is fantastic. Some of the best visuals in a game I've seen, with amazing and detailed thematic environments, weapons and characters that bring 40k to life.

This game has some of the best combat responsiveness in the modern gaming scene. You hit an enemy from any angle with force, they'll react from that hit based on the weapons weight by getting thrown aside (with multiple animations for this too). You hit an enemy with a laser gun it leaves burn marks, and cracked armour reveals their faces underneath. Your bullets whizz past an enemy, they'll flinch and try find cover. Lots of awesome gore too.

Why the negative rating then? This game seriously lacks meaningful progression, and its launch was nothing short of terrible with horrible optimisation problems and even less things to do than there is now. The cosmetic shop is an insult, as players have already paid money for the product yet if you want these fantastic cosmetics the artists have made you need to spend more real money to get them rather than earning them by playing the game.

I love this game and want to see it succeed, so here are my suggestions that I hope fatshark would consider:

Remove the level cap at 30, let us level indefinitely to show off dedication to a specific class with milestones rewards such as a bonus in gold, new player frame unlocks (which is a png, a team of artists could bash out 100 in a day easily). Add earn-able player titles which can be displayed after the players first name, this is a low effort addition which would let players customise themselves further and give more rewards to fill out these indefinite extra levels. After a while there would be no rewards but it still is fulfilling to watch your player rank go up.

Let us earn the premium currency with challenges. I understand the time needed to create brand new cosmetics (fresh new models and not re-skins) is a time consuming process. Let players who want to buy the skins outright do so, but also let players who don't want to buy them EARN them over a long period of time of just playing the game and doing fun weekly challenges to obtain them.

There needs to be a way to see our stats after games and in general, a weak argument was made by Fatshark that showing stats increases toxicity which is ridiculous as there will be toxic players regardless of any game and stats are so important for players to review if a build they've made is good or see if a new strategy is working well. Give us weapon stats, let us see how many enemies we've killed with our gun. You could even make this an obtainable upgrade from player levels which we can attach to guns we like to show off how many enemies we've slain.

A game with great potential and fantastic developers, thank you fatshark for bringing 40k to life and continuing to improve the game but please listen to your community. For people considering to buy it; Is it worth your £30? If you're happy to spend around 50-80 hours of gameplay before getting bored then I'd say it's worth it.

A fun and perfect crossover, the hunters of the empire vs the lizzardmen of lustria. The main highlight from this update and dlc
for me was the empire re-work! They feel much more mechanically interesting and closer to the lore. Next stop (hopefully)
the greenskins!
