Peak Star Wars, most of the movies don't even compare to this game's story. Game also runs a lot better compared to launch, after several patches.

Mid game tbh, very short at about 3-4 hours long, the puzzles and overall direction of the game is very straightforward. The Horror aspect is barely there for me. Also the controls are a bit meh, the camera perspective wasn't being very nice to me either but it wasn't a huge issue.

However, the art style, sound design and character design is very good. There isn't much backstory to work with, the game throws you into a strange and uninviting place filled with gluttonous humanoid monsters, and that's all you're able to go off of. Being left with that constant confusion and sense of mystery isn't the worst thing though.

I finished the game while still not understanding where all the hype is coming from. I'll think about playing the sequel, but I think I was correct on leaving this game untouched in my library.

This game is so incredibly dead and abandoned.

DISABLE STEAM OVERLAY!
If that doesn't work, try setting the "Window mode" to "Fullscreen", not "Exclusive Fullscreen"!

On my end, it seems that running the game in Exclusive Fullscreen and/or with Steam overlay enabled, with AMD's Frame Gen causes the game to completely freeze with a black screen during launch or any loading screens, resulting in having to kill the process in the task manager.
