We went from celebrating and loving the game to having petty and poor developer behavior. The game is still unlisted in 170ish countries, you have Reddit and Discord mods taking pot shots and trying to agitate people who have legitimate concerns over the game. You had a smash hit and cultural phenomenon of a game that has now been wasted because the developers couldnt stop nerfing weapons even though this is a PVE game.

"So the trick for us as we try to parse feedback is that we have some folks who are very loud - while a lot of you are in the game and ......like it? we dont know, ive noted that peopple arent fans of the nerfs (duh) and performance coulkd be better - but really where we at" - Shams Jorjani.

Wise guy, we arent complicated people that are sending you mixed signals. We are playing the game because we like it, we are loud about it because we care about the game.

TLDR - never touching the game again, arrogance and condescending behavior of developers and community managers plus the blatant ignoring of community feedback is a toxic recipe.

P.S. any mods who decide to come over and ban this review is only proving me right in that they cant handle feedback.

I can finally live out my dreams of enslaving furries to work in the mines and promptly making their children fight in cage matches for my entertainment, we have truly been blessed with this content.

Good Game, Needs more content (I know they are working on it) Suffers from classic issue of not enough to do. Spawn, rush bosses, kill bosses, next area, rinse and repeat. From what I can tell, the game is more of a house building simulator once you complete the bosses as there is zero reason to explore once they are all dead. Only exception would be the need to gather resources.

Been Over a year and barely any content has been released, no idea what is going on over there but I will just move onto other projects and games until the devs decide to write a line of code.

Overall good game, Great concept with some good ideas being thrown in and it seems to be in constant development. Biggest thing I liked while playing with friends was the paint-jobs as part of the customization update, that update knocked it out of the park with how customization the paint jobs could be.
Some things and or suggestions with some constructive criticism.

- More enemy variety (shooting same thing with more health and does more damage gets stale)
- Possibly larger map (heard that was being worked on)
- More survival elements, for a survival game you only really have to manage your health and armor. It doesn't feel like a survival game. (give another reason to go back to the surface (Food / Water))
- Even on higher difficulty, never really felt pressured, had to set custom difficulty and it was still pretty easy to evade cogs
- could have actual fortifications/fortresses that spawn COGS in lower levels instead of just drill ships that pop up and density of Cogs gets higher.
- could use a better sound design (awooga gets annoying, turned off in game sound mid way through the play-through, the sounds can get grating and annoying to listen to in general.)
- COGS should actively defend the last laser, (we chucked mortars at the last laser then got cutscene)
- Once defeating last laser, there should be a last ditch attempt to kill you before they power down, I.E. Drillship defense
- Possibly add an Ironman mode, so if you made mistake, it would stick for a while.
- Cutscene after killing last laser was a bit akward and anticlimactic.
- More endgame content (Possibly PVP, More decoration for drillship/steam punk furniture, Etc..)
- Player customization
- Combat tweaks (It was a rinse and repeat of hit and run tactics and there wasnt too much risk involved)
- A.I. Improvements (COGS work off each others strengths instead of just one mass hoard coming at you)
- General Optimization
- Steam Workshop (heard that was being worked on)
- Day/Night cycle (make it harder to see at night or in the darkness, pull a deep rock galactic and make darkness a mechanic because you are underground consistently)
- Just add more content so game lasts longer.
- If PVP is a thing, make it so every player can have their own ship and can screw each other over.
- Should be optional mechanic that punishes people the longer they stay underground as a means of avoiding combat. I.E. enemies become more advanced/ harder to fight the longer you stay underground. Some sort of race against the clock mechanic.
- More modules, Modules should have certain conditions/ environments that they will work in most efficiently.
- Drillship V drillship combat (more points of entry, Just an idea toss)
- Should be debuffs from breathing in volcanic ash instead of just limited eyesight. Give stamina debuffs for breathing in volcanic ash.(COGS should be more active in ash and more actively hunt the player as the player is weaker)
- Give more content/ reasons to be above ground on the surface outside of purely mines.
- Possibly add underground biomes in the different caves / areas

A little bit clunky in terms of Unit Control, Also UI scaling for 4k needs to be a thing because the UI is small and keeping your army in line is very hard because the UI is so small.

Pretty good, especially for free to play game, plays well on 4k, minor things stuck out to me, such as:

-machine guns in industrial era not being based on maxim machine guns, but instead american civil war gatling guns,

-more air options in the second industrial revolution would be neat (monowings that fly faster, air superiority, etc)

-some UI missing tooltips I.E why should i build axe soldiers or morgenstern over legionaries, no idea what units really do at a glance

More or less splitting hairs but its good game.

I am a man of short stature and free flowing facial hair, with my compatriots, who might I add, are also men of short stature, using picks and mechanized mining machines to create crevices into the earth to harvest its bountiful resources, for we men of short stature can never create crevices into the earth that are too below sea level, collecting crystals, ores, and rare materials such as gold and many more metals below. For I am a man of short stature and free flowing facial hair, and I do indeed, dig a hole.

Keep having Unreal engine crashes every other game about an hour into the game and i get nothing to show for it, good gameplay insanely frustrating crashes. Several hours of gameplay just to crash and get nothing in return. Dont get me wrong, great game its just the crash after a massive time sink sours the mood
