I have sunk nearly 30 hours the last two days with two close friends of mine.

For a quick 20 USD game we thought we would have it near complete. Wrong.

Spent the first 15 to 20 hours farming atleast enough minerals and resources to be able to gear ourselves, build a decent hearth, build a ship and a few extra things inbetween... Only to find out that once you beat the first boss you have to sail to the next only to uncover that the entire time you spent gearing yourself up meant absolutely nothing on the next few islands you would step foot on.

For such a small game. IT IS MASSIVE. it is a never ending world of endless possibilities and you will never have the same play experience twice. Well... Other than the bosses you have to fight but that is understandable. The seed generated world is absolutely breathtaking in every way shape and form. Honestly, I can see this game going into Steam's Game of the Year awards because honestly? It is just that damn good. DO NOT LISTEN TO THESE PEOPLE WITH HALF AN HOUR OR LESS OF GAME TIME.

1. You don't die of hunger, that is a lie. (Your character receives a base health (25) and base stamina that you have to increase by eating food. There is no point ability system other than leveling your weapons you use to farm and fight with from 1 to 100. and at close to 30 hours, I have just finally reached level 31 in my main weapons and abilities.

2. One world will never be the same as the last. Every time you make a new game, expect a new experience.

3. Play with friends, I highly recommend it... if you want to be a viking... Be a Viking with friends, you will enjoy it tenfold.

4. Don't stay out at night. Sleep the night away, trust me.. I've learned one to many times.

5. When chopping a tree down. Yell timber, cause honestly.. I think I've killed or watched my fellow teammates die because of falling trees.

All in all it is a great game, I don't practically care for stamina loss you have to endure during either battle, being out at night because of the cold or not enough food to keep it up but hey, honestly its not a game breaking feature for me. It's actually amusing sometimes to say the least.

Buy this game, you won't regret it. Trust me.
