I've played through the original several times, and I think the remaster holds up quite well.

I'm playing the remake with my spouse watching (he never played the old game), and he's pretty enamored with it so far so I feel pretty safe saying that the appeal is still there for new players as well as returning ones

Day 1: meet all the cute villagers, they're all helpful and nice

Day 2: wake up, get taken to a funeral because someone dropped dead. watch as the cute animal is cremated

It's just a demo, but so far I'm really looking forward to this game coming out! They picked the perfect spot plot-wise to end the demo to really get you invested in the game

I started playing this game and then suddenly it was almost 6am the next day.

Weird, fun, music is amazing, and the voice acting is fantastic. 10/10 would absolutely recommend

I've put so much time into this game on my phone. So, so much time.

While I can see why it might not appeal to everyone, this game really clicked well for me and I've enjoyed it tremendously.

I wouldn't recommend it to someone looking for 'Stardew Valley but darker' - although the game shares some surface level similarities, the mechanics and overall playstyle feel quite different. The main mechanic of progression is the technology trees and a variety of tremendously interwoven quests from NPCs.

If, on the other hand, you tend to like 'survival' type games that have complicated crafting and technology trees but are looking for something a little more laid back and chill this might be a game for you.

10/10, would slaughter cliff racers and break the laws of reality with alchemy again

I ate a bee and gained superpowers, would recommend.
