its really fun

This review comes from someone who has never played a monster hunter game before this so take it with a grain of salt as you should all reviews, it doesnt really seem to be the best game for solo play but if you get three buddies to play with its a blast. For the most part everything before the DLC is quite easy, getting more challenging around half way through Iceborne, with the greatest challenges being at the very end of it. If you havent played yet I recommend you go in blind with your whole party as learning the monsters as you meet them is great. The strategies you can make for the harder fights to get the most out of your damage is really fun.


Some minor gripes I have with the game are: Cutscenes being unskippable and forcing you to watch them before playing multiplayer (fixed with a mod), Clutch claw is jank and sometimes randomly attaches to places on the opposite side of the monster, DEFENDER GEAR IS OP AND YOU SHOULDNT USE IT ON FIRST PLAYTHROUGH BUT ITS RECOMMENDED , halloween music in the Iceborne gathering hub sucks and needs to be removed, and the randomness of some drops can really screw you over at times.

HiRez (Evil Mojo) is really bad with this game, 50% of the time they break ♥♥♥♥ or release a champ that is broken or has a talent that is OP, and the other 50% of the time they say "Hey we listened to your feedback and are fixing the ♥♥♥♥ we broke." only to fix one of the lesser issues with the ♥♥♥♥ they did. I want to recommend this game as i started playing back in alpha, but I can not recommend it to new players with the way they keep sending the balance not to mention all the bugs.

havent messed with it too much in a while, just opened it back up for some steam levels to learn it had an update. huh... thats a thing

I love this game, it is my favorite RPG due to its complex combat, the story being pretty good, the world being beautiful, and Fane is a character. So yeah I recommend it!

This game is an underrated gem, the game play is fast paced and fluid the movement feels good dying feels like its your fault due to the insta kills and good hitboxes. The premise seems like it would make you mad but it really doesn't, the music (on good maps) is chill and subtle while you bunny hop rocket jump or lazer pogo around the map killing everyone in your path. 1v1 engagements are difficult due to the way the movement works, slightly floaty but very fast. If you like games to chill out with friends in this is DEFINITELY one to get. (I have yet to try playing online but with the way the skill ceiling is in this game expect to get smashed)

this game was fun and i can see it being fun in the future (in small intervals) however they need to tone down with the flashing lights or someone is going to have a stroke... the concept is original however the execution of it is not done right i would only suggest this game if you have a BUNCH of friends to play with
