An incredible detective game.

At a certain point in the game there is a twist that makes the game feel less like a detective game and more like a choices matter visual novel, however in spite of that, the game is still really enjoyable.

I found myself caring a lot about the characters and the world and overall just had a great time.

To top it all off, the art style is beautiful and if you feel like the game would be something you'd enjoy, you're probably correct.

It hurts to have to not recommend this game since I love supporting indie games and this game just LOOKS so good, I want to be able to enjoy it.

That said, I can't overstate how much I absolutely LOVE the aesthetic and art style of this game but so many things in the dialogue and general plot of this game have made it so hard to give this game a fair shot. The dialogue is very clearly translated into English, which would be fine if there weren't so many blatant errors. There's random exposition in every conversation that just doesn't make any sense. A lot of the overall logic, both in little side conversations, and in core plot, just doesn't make sense. It's sad when it's a detective game where you want to be using your brain to solve mysteries and puzzles and you're spending more brain power on dissecting the writing than you are solving puzzles.

Additionally, no map-able controls and no ability to turn off the stupid button mashing mechanic that serves no purpose when you should be able to just interact with things with a simple button press in a game like this.

All things considered: incredible idea, poor execution (aside from the art).

Just not fun. Poorly paced, weird voice over that doesn't really add anything. Was really excited by the description and trailer but after playing through the first 2 puzzles (a pair matching puzzle and a weight distribution puzzle) it became pretty evident that it's not going to get better from here.

Overall, maybe give it a shot if you received it for free, but I wouldn't spend any money on it.

Incredible campaign, probably one of the best I've ever played.

The game is quite literally not playable anymore.

The level speedruns might make you cry just a little but otherwise this game is yet another masterpiece in the I expect you to die series.

If you like detective simulation games, you'll enjoy this game.
If you like following a trail to solve a mystery, you'll enjoy this game.
If you like some silly antics and a minor amount of jank in your games, you'll enjoy this game.

This game does an incredible job of making the world feel alive around you and it feels like you really are just a small part within a much larger machine. I was there as a witness to one of the murders in the game that you're normally alerted to later, that's how crazy it can get.

All the different methods you can do to track down evidence and figure out your case - if you think it's something you could do to figure it out in a real life case scenario, there's a decent chance you can try it out in the game.

Highly recommend.
