With the game's newest update "First Aid", I can without issue say that a lot has been improved, major annoyance of crew dying way too easily has been near entirely removed via the health system, a lot of the most disruptive bugs have been patched out like the ghost walls that made it really difficult to tell what needed replacing and there is a fair amount more to do as medicine finally has use.
The game is still rough around the edges, your crew still occasionally starts just walking in place not doing anything on max speed but now I can easily get few hours in before something forces me to reload my save so I can quite easily recommend the game.


This is one of the many cases where I really wish Steam had a neutral rating.
I love this game, I really do, there is a lot of promise in it and what is currently there is a very solid foundation. The devs put a lot of heart into ensuring everything looks mostly faithful bar some simplifications for aesthetic consistency and are very receptive to both criticisms and bug reports, I absolutely see this being great in the future.
HOWEVER
It is very clearly early access, although functional for the most part there are a TON of bugs ranging anywhere from visual to outright game breaking. Most of the time reloading a save fixes them but depending on just how unlucky you get it could end up happening often enough to be annoying and spoil the fun.

I have full trust that the devs will iron these issues out and I will be able to change the rating to recommended, but for now it's still not quite there.

Simply put it's abandoned and unfinished game
Sure, there is some fun to be had, the ideas have promise, but the amount of content that's here right now is not worth the asking price

So after just few hours of this game I can say with confidence that it's just severely underwhelming, both the combat itself and base management aspect are as of now heavily underdeveloped, but let's break it down
The good:
The sprite work is nice, I do love how the game looks
The sound effects are somewhat basic but not bad at all, I especially like the fact pilots have a few lines in their native language
The bad:
Gameplay is extremely lackluster, while the minigames are not that bad they get exhausting after some time
Balancing, some of these minigames are considerably easier than other, bomber interceptions are near braindead
Enemy behaviour, enemy planes during combat perform all of their limited use moves, each time, it makes them extremely predictable and outside of cases where avoiding is simply impossible due to your plane's movement and placement it makes this very easy and unsatisfying
Base and pilot management, it's very... basic, there is very little in terms of things to balance, majority of it is just making sure you are not short on any resource, that's basically all, I would have hoped for at least some basic plane maintenance and perhaps even posibillity of different configurations but no, they are even tied to the pilot so you can't give a new fancy plane to your experienced fighter

My final judgement would be a slight "no", at current price point it's just slightly not enough to make it worth and there's no one solution to this, if base and plane management was more in depth then the minigames would be acceptable as they wouldn't be the focus, on the other hand if the actual combat was expanded upon then the lackluster base management could pass.

It's essentially a donation to charity with some virtual goodies as reward, how could anyone hate that?
Go buy it and support the fight against breast cancer

First off, the game's basically abandoned now, so don't bother.
Now, aside that glaring problem there's the playerbase, don't get wrong it's friendly and welcoming, but the remaining few players are basically veterans, people you will have insanely hard time against if you aren't already experienced.
It might be fun to play when you get a grip on it, but currently it's not worth getting into

Wait for sale before buying, it's not really worth the 5$ price tag considering what it is, emulator restricted to just 2 games, but it works and you can have some fun out of it if you get over slightly iffy controls and mechanics.
