returend this with an hour into the game, its an outdated ps2 game, wait for it to go on sale for 75% off def. not worth the 50 dollars bandai is asking for.

As a Dragon quest novice, the only titles that i have played are spin offs aka rocket slimer aka the best DQ game ;). I have personally never played a Main series Dragon quest game and from what i have played so far as of right now (little over 40 hours in) i can say that it is quite enjoyable. From the lively cast ( <3 sylvando ), to the ASTONISHING graphics and roaming world, the option of replayability with the difficutly modifiers, and personally as a Dragon ball Z fan the art style of Akira Toriyama i just ADORE the character designs. Now there are the flaws to this game, the voice actor isnt the greatest at time, and alot of the time there is super cheesy writing, and to a point repetitive gameplay, but hey not every game is perfect right? I personally recommend this game to any RPG fan even if you are acquainted with the dragon quest series or if you are not, i think you will personally enjoy it. I rate it a 9/10, would for sure play it again with all the modifiers on!

cant even get through the final boss on easy.
