Can't believe how wrong I was about this game. Initially disliked it after the first two playthroughs, but 4 years later I'm now revisiting it and have realized the true merits of this game. Only partway in, but already appreciate the tight gameplay far more than the other souls games. The only real complaint I have is the slightly unimaginative starting areas and the linear progression. Will return to revise this review but at this moment I'm happy to give it 7.45 Barry Custards out of 12.
