I'm writing this review as of 6 hours of gametime.

Now it's pretty obvious that this should, and will be compared to Darkest Dungeon (DD) and that is perfectly fine. I have in fact played quite a far amount of DD, and Deep sky derelicts (DSD) is like a DD lite in regards to difficulty. DD has more heavily based RNG mechanics, and the need to manage two health pools. However DSD being a fair bit easier has much more punishing mechanics that DD lacks, such as being unable to heal during missions (regenerating shields, and temporary health gains are what keep you alive) and there is no death's door, 0 hp is straight that character disappearing. Your roster can only contain the 3 mercs of your choice also, unlike DD's roster of 20+ heroes who you can interchange.

This game is actually pretty damn good, and is totally worth buying off-sale at it's price.

Random notes about the game from my experience so far:
-A fair few minor bugs, some larger ones.
-Less replayable than other roguelites as there is a more set path on what you're doing.
-Near zero attachment to characters, lack the ability to rename or change up their suits (Some are very similar)
-Combat is loads of fun, unlike DD, it uses a card based system and plenty of perks. This leads to some really cool stuff.
-Some classes just don't seem using, I very quickly dropped my medic in favour of the scrapper and I'll likely finish playing with the tracker/bruiser/scrapper.
