Incredible game. Maybe it's just my memory but I can only think of one major bug that really impacted my playthrough and I had to find a workaround. Everything else was smooth.

Cannot recommend the game enough. I genuinely felt like a crazy person because I'm yelling laughing at some of the things happening in game. I felt genuine empathy for some of the characters. There were plot points that shocked me and I'm the type of person who would watch an hour video explaining the history ahead of time (I understand that the game isn't completely historically accurate, I don't imagine that for no reason at all Bohemia was flooded with plate armor)

Buy it.

Came back months later and the new PDA voice was just ass. The on ground part of the game just isn't it. If they could take the base building from this game and throw it in the first, I'd be content with that. I prefer everything else in the first minus the base building (The first game had great base building but this is just objectively better)

Edit: Tried again after sea truck dock update.

I still despise the new PDA voice, I turned the voicelines down to 20%. I actually went through and beat the game this time and I'm changing this to a Yes for the story. I really really liked the main story. The side story with your sister (completely optional) can get ♥♥♥♥♥♥, but I really loved the main story and ending. I still hate being on land, but I ended up just staying on land only as long as I needed to. Sprinting around with normal swimsuit and some peppers going to where I had to go and returning to the sea where Subnautica really excels. Although the map felt smaller than the last one and the biomes not as plentiful, I do have to recommend you give this game a serious shot. 20% Volume with Subtitles (again) is the best way to play the game. You still hear most the audio but can pretend the PDA voice isn't abysmal.
