Exceptional first-person action shooter! Boomer-shooter action mixed with ImSim elements built on the GZDoom Engine, which they extended significantly from both a technical and design standpoint. I can't say enough good things about this game... and, yes, you CAN stack boxes!!

This is a pretty great game so far. I played the demo and was kind of meh about it, but the early access build I am loving. There are some people complaining about the design changes, but the move to a non-linear level design and pseudo ImSim gameplay have moved this from a standard boomer shooter to something that stands out from the crowd in my opinion.

Turbo Overkill is a blood-and-neon-soaked, cyberpunk boomer shooter that manages to perfectly capture the classic shooter feel while adding splashes of new with persistent upgrades and RPG-lite mechanics. Its an all-out violent murder-fest where you are the main attraction. There is a lot to love here for both Boomer Shooter faithful as well as newer gamers.
... oh, and did mention you have a chainsaw leg? Because, you do, you have a chainsaw leg!

Maneater is an incredibly self-aware game. It attempts to emulate the cheesy B-Movies on SyFy channel from back in the day in tone and narrative design... and dose so swimmingly (see what I did there?) well!
Everything about it, from the absurd, over the top "evolution" of your shark with supernatural-like abilities like poison secretion and teleportation, to the campy docuseries narrative structure (narrated by the one and only Chris Parnell) makes the execution of this tone and feel a reality. There were more than one instance, especially when Parnell's narratives, that made me literally laugh out loud.
The DLC takes this tone and structure to a whole new level with the whole "sharks with frickin lasers" approach.
About the only thing that got a little annoying was the repetition of some of the tasks/quests.
All and all, if you are a fan of those classic movies like Sharknado, Snakes on a Plane, or even Slither, then this game is probably for you. If not, then you might not get much out of it.

Fallout 76 had a rocky start to be sure, however, BGS stayed at it and listened to the community. With the release of the Wastelanders update, the game has since been more in line with what a BGS Fallout game should feel like.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood is fun. Is the story short, sure. But despite the story not being super strong, its just a fun way to enjoy some Co-Op action. The game does utilize some neat Metroidvania-ish mechanics as you gain abilities and need to revisit areas.
I hope that they continue to support the game with additional areas and missions because, as is, there are only a few (albeit large and open) levels, but the fun you can have in those levels just begs for post-launch support.

I loved the first Rage (despite the PC technical issues at launch) and always felt if had potential to be much more than it was. Fast Forward almost a decade, and we have Rage 2. Rage 2 is a great next stage for the IP. It is open world destruction at its finest. Sure, the story leaves something to be desired, but if you want a game that is just about destruction and exploration, then this is a good option. I personally wish it had more meaningful exploration, but all and all, its a worth while game.

A worth successor to the reboot FWH did back in 2013. They expanded on what made the reboot awesome, by adding a procedural generated world and loot. The story is not as deep as the 2013 reboot, but the combat mechanics are better and feel more fluid with things like mantling, 4-way dash and more. If you played the 2013 reboot and liked it, then buy this. If you did not, then buy the 2013 reboot and make a decision after that.
.... Oh yeah, they added co-op too! ... So... Yeah...

I should start this review saying that buying this on Seam will be the third time I have actually paid money for this game (I own my original Russian disc copies still and own it on GamerGate, the following review is my original review the latter) and should be telling in-of itself. After I play the Steam version, I will update my review with any additional notes I find about the about the game that are unique to this version. Hopefully now that Deep Shadows have released two of their three best games on Steam (the other being (Xenus II) White Gold), they will release (Xenus) Boiling Point: Road to Hell (and maybe start developing these types of games again.

Review is as follows:
This game does something that very few games have done. It creates a truly open world experience (ala Elder Scrolls) that is in an amazingly realized Sci-Fi setting. It is beautiful, fun and every bit as wondrous as when you first step into an elder scrolls game. Granted, as with all deep shadows games I have played, there are some glitches, technical malfunctions and jenky code along the way (as with most Russian developed games that are ported to English), however there is an active community that is actively releasing unofficial patches to clean up the technical malfunctions.

In closing, despite the technical issues, the game is highly playable out of the box and the vast majority of the time you will not even notice the technical issues because the game is so fun and amazing on scope. Paired with the active community continuously bettering the game, this is a must buy for any fan of FPS, RPG, FPS/RPG or open world genres.

The final verdict: I give this game 5 out of 5 stars and is a must buy for anyone interested in the above genres and/or anything Sci-Fi.

First, let me start off by saying that I grew up with the original Shadow Warrior (and many of the old build engine games) as some of my favorite games when I was younger. I have many, many fond memories of that/those games. So when I first heard that they were rebooting it, I was a little hesitant. However, then I heard that Flying Wild Hogs was at the helm and I felt a little better. However, I also was worried that the racial & sexist stuff (which in many ways made the original what it was) would not be present due to the climate of today’s society... and quite frankly, rightfully so. Many of those racial things in the original were extreme and highly racist & sexist, so they really have no place in a modern intelligent game. Anyway, I am pleased to say that they did away with the racist stuff and improved on almost every aspect of the Shadow Warrior universe. The combat and controls are tight. The guns are amazing. The enemies are relentless. The core mechanics are awesome. But at the forefront is the swordplay. The Katana is no longer just a melee weapon that you use when you run out of bullets. It is the star of the show. I would argue that it is second main character of the whole game. If you liked hard reset, you will love this game. If you like Japanese culture, you will love this game. If you love great single player, story driven FPS's, you will absolutely love this game! Buy, buy BUY!!!
