Like Eternal and GTTOD had a baby with a 90's cyberpunk novel.
I cannot put into words how fun and replayable this game is. It scales well in difficulty from top to bottom and runs buttery smooth. It has just about every feature you've ever loved in a shooter from Wolf 3D to Doom Eternal, taking inspiration from and giving nods to the best single player and arena shooters. 7/5 stars.

The conversations Johnny has with all the characters are so interesting... he should speak less in the sequel. Amazing game, loved the gameplay, music, level design, even the story. This is a classic and that sewer count easter egg... Civvie must be proud. 2137/10 would chainsaw my friend's mother again (Stara Cedeta drain gang).

This game isn’t anywhere close to a classic shooter—what some people call “boomer shooters.” It’s more of a “crystal/zoomers shooter.” Or in other words, "This is what people who don't play boomer shooters think boomer shooters are".

Unfortunately, I can’t recommend it. It has solid production quality and in other circumstances I might have recommended it, but the level design and gameplay are subpar, with platforming sections, verticality and the annoying puzzles affect the pacing of the game. There are moments where you can get disoriented and not know where to go. On top of that, the movement feels way too fast, and the leg chainsaw although creative it damages the gameplay because it is too powerful.

Play ULTRAKILL and DOOM Eternal; if you’re still looking for something in the same genre, then consider trying Devil Daggers, Post Void, Mullet Madjack or Turbo Overkill.
