playing this game is like what I imagine plugging your brain into a concentrated mixture of battery acid and crunchy 140p 2010s youtube anime uploads would feel like. playing this game makes you feel like a rabid animal. no thoughts, head empty. shoot. jump. go fast. anime women.

A fantastic game. I'm not usually one for stealth, but Dishonored made it fun enough that I want to go back and play it again and again. In fact, you can do just that; the game is designed so that any kind of playstyle you can dream up, stealth or action, is feasible. Want to assassinate enemies and disappear like a ghost? You can do it. Want to hop from rooftop to rooftop, totally ignoring enemies and being a generally good person? Sure. Want to kill anything in your way? Nothing's stopping you. It's remarkable how much the game offers in terms of value.

It's a shame the port is so bad, because MKX is a really good game.

I really wanted to like it, but it's just too archaic and weirdly designed. Some examples:

-Some options, like cursors, have to be changed out of game. I don't like the default cursor, and I don't want to jump through hoops to replace it. I understand that that's on me, but it still annoys me.
-Infenction.
-Why have friendly fire as an option when the game includes a class that can disguise as a teammate? I've only been able to get matches on servers that have it, and that annoys me. The lighting also makes it really hard to differentiate enemies from allies, leading to more frustration.

Other:
-Not a ton of players, unfortunately. There's plently, but not as many as I'd like.
-Some classes are just plain bad, and not worth playing from my point of view.

The Good:
-Weapon variety. There's a lot of cool weapons.
-General things, like engine and map design.
-Not as commercialized as the Hat Game, and the weapons are slightly more balanced as a result.

The game is quite fun, but I now know why it evolved the way it did. If you can get it in a pack with other games, it's worth it. Even at full price, I'd recommend it; just be prepared for a rough game that might annoy you if you're used to the super-polished TF2.

All of this is my opinion, and some of it might be completely wrong. This is just my perspective. As a scrub/derty casul, I'd just prefer playing the more polished game.
