This is actually fun and helpful if you have writing/coding projects going on. Keeps track of progress while enhancing moral support. I was surprised at how many inputs were going into simple typing, but gaming is what makes it skyrocket. Mostly going for the 1mil achiev and I'll probably stop using it all the time after that.

Most pleasantly surprising gaming experience of 2025 for me. Not only is it right up my alley in terms of survival sandbox, but it has blown me away. 9.5/10 This review deserves some effort

Immersive World-Building
The atmosphere is reminiscent of the original Half Life games with a subtle SCP vibe to it and stylishly simple graphics. It really takes me back to the early 2000's with a modern approach that just works. The characters are entertaining and engaging, not to mention memorable and beloved.

Well Thought Game Mechanics
You know when you see a game mechanic you can just tell a lot of thought was put into it. Fluid, easy going logical stuff that makes your life a whole lot easier.

Simple and optimized storage mechanics & weight system done well while not limiting your potential too much.

Simple and fluid U.I system without too much junk in the way or convoluted menus.

Combat system that feels pure and functional without having crazy learning curves or overdone mechanics.

Logical progression system with 'checkpoints' that serve as short cuts and interconnected map structure. Completely open ended gameplay loop. Take your time or speedrun at your own pace.

Variety and multitude of items, weapons, easter eggs, NPCs, and functional systems.

Crafting and Blueprint system is fresh and unique while keeping true to its functions.

Building system is satisfying and simple while allowing a great deal of creative freedom and environmental manipulation.

This game just does everything it needs to without any of the nonsense

Since the 4.1.0 Patch I am changing my review from Not Recommended to
Recommended

The game truly was in an awful and unforgivable state. Crashed 9/10 times for at least 1 person per game, audio glitches and gamebreaking bugs galore. We were tired of it, wasn't going to let it slide any more. With the combined might of democracy the playerbase demanded the game be fixed. It didn't happen over night, but it didn't take years either. Most of the things seem to be fixed, weapon and enemy balances made, and frame rates improved. So far so good!

But if the game ever returns to a broken state again in the future this review will go back to negative, and we will have to revolt again. If only the government could be fixed as fast as this, that is a fight for another day.

This is phenomenal, the game that easily captures the concept and atmosphere of the backrooms. It does not rely on jumpscares either. Some areas give almost a homely oblique vibe, others will chill you down to your bone. I played through once and feel like I went about as deep as I could, but there's several endings and so much I'm sure I missed.

The VHS camera effect is perfection, wizardry even. It makes it the most immersive thing and makes the world feel too real at times. I was both horrified and completely fascinated. sometimes taking pauses at certain views, zooming the camera lens down corridors and dark ominous areas. 10/10

It does everything a free 2 play mecha game should, and does so quite well! As a fan of mechwarrior I wasn't sure if I'd like this, but I also really like team based shooters so :P

The tutorial and cinematics are incredible and pretty seamless. Sound design, voice lines, general mechanics, UI, it all seems like actual effort and coordination was involved! Which as you know is quite rare these days.

Some balance issues sure, some paid cosmetics, nothing too crazy. You can still dive deep into customization on both the mech and pilot without too much play time.

Previous experience in similar games made everything click even better than I figured. quite gud.

This is just pure fun, and challenge! My friend full sent it on a vine and got so much speed he slammed into a rock at mach 10. using the in game chat and having your friend screaming out before his mic cuts off when he goes down is just.. PEAK. Making insane climbs helping eachother out is a core experience. Having your confidence go out the window after taking a fall or getting poisoned makes it so engaging and different every time.

Played it through origin when it first came out, back then it was THE Battle Royale experience. In the early seasons, it was invigorating and fresh. But as all pvp games, people get sweatier over time and the game becomes more unapproachable by newbies and old fans alike. What killed the experience for me and my friend was that World's Edge is in the map rotation every season since it was released and you hardly get to play on any other map. Ruined King's Canyon and never get to play it anyway, why not have all maps in rotation?

If you're a fan of classic zombie movies and premise this is fun to pick up and try out, you can get through the tutorial and 1 or 2 deaths within the refund policy if its not for you.

It's been in EA for a while and likely will be for some time with many changes ahead but I think its more complete and less buggy than 7DTD was for many years.

With customizable difficulty you can ease yourself into it or create a zombie hell of epic proportions. This game is about dying and starting over, think dwarf fortress "losing is fun" because it has to be. Maybe your character was throwing a party and already has some guests ready to taste test your rump and you have about 3 seconds to launch yourself out the back patio or be the next cuisine. Maybe you finally get a good start in a farm house away from the fray with better chances of surviving. Either way, this is how you die.

I don't care what I see other people saying, I have not seen this level of commitment and love for a game in a very long time. I've been playing since it first came out and the amount of effort being poured in is commendable. Every time I play it feels substantially different after each major update. The game has checkpoints, but does not save. However you can go back to any chapter you want.

The level of immersion in this game is what any SCP fan wishes for, it looks fantastic, the controls and mechanics are always getting better, and it just plays how it should.
