We’re overjoyed. Balor is the ideal publisher for Affray and any other indie studios like us. The Balor team has been an incredible resource for us, sharing their years of wisdom and experience. Additionally, they have been wonderfully supportive and respectful of our creative vision. We believe with Balor publishing SCP:5K, we’ll be able to make SCP:5K as horrifying, tactically-engaging, and rich in SCP content as we’ve been planning since its inception.

In case anyone in the community is concerned, Affray has not been acquired by Balor. The publishing deal we signed with Balor Games maintains our creative control over SCP:5K in its entirety. The faith that Balor has in us and us in them is the bedrock of this partnership and we are honored that they have such belief in our project.

In celebration of this new announcement, we’ve decided to share something we’ve been working on for the last few months: an updated Affray company logo. We feel this new logo says so much more about our commitment to making high-quality horror/action games in the SCP space. The logo and logo reveal animation was made by our very own game director, Trey Bishop. The logo reveal was created by filming practical effects that were built physically and then digitally compiled.

We will have more updates in the coming weeks. Since signing this agreement late last year, we have turned with full force toward 1.0 and we’re incredibly excited to share more about that soon. For now, we consider ourselves lucky to be able to share this wonderful news with the community that has supported us throughout all of early access. Thank you all for your support!
