I really tried to like this game. I really did. It not the worst thing I've ever played but its definitely not good either. Gameplay wise its like any other battlefield. Graphics wise, it sucks ass tbh and the performance is ass even with a pc with high end parts. Automatic weapons feel wonky and inconsistent especially at range with anything but a smg (which makes 0 sense). The maps would be interesting at the former battlefield scale, but due to the larger maps because of larger lobbies, the maps feel extremely empty and flat. All in all I give the game a three out of 10. Will go up if dice gets their head out of their asses and fix the game.

I have 1220 (and rising) hours in this game. I don't think anything else needs to be said.

I tried to like it, I really did. In some ways, I do really like this game. HOWEVER. The stupid, annoying and downright broken things about this game WAY out weigh the good. Combat in this game, whether it be with players or just enemies, is the jankiest thing I've seen in a AAA game in a long ass time and my main gripe. In a game so built around combat, it should be so much better than it is. The bullets seem to be incredibly inconsistent, at times they seem to just pass through enemies, or hit them and not do any damage. Other times. enemies just seem to lunge at you at incredible speed and pass through you, while also hitting you. I'm almost 100% sure that this is due to terrible latency from the servers, which is saddening coming from Bethesda. Enemies also have wayyyy too much health for my liking as well, especially due to the scarcity of ammo and how much it costs to craft. That isn't a huge deal but it adds to just making the game frustrating. THAT word is basically what sums up this game for me. Frustrating. The gameplay is frustrating, the lack of npcs in the world (even with wastelanders, which is when I started playing) and how empty everything feels is frustrating, and the fact that this game COULD be so good is frustrating.

This game is an absolute masterpiece. Have loved every second I've played and I'm just over halfway through act 2. (I should also add that this is the first turn based rpg I have ever played.) It has quickly became one of my favorite games I've ever played and my favorite rpg ive ever played.

I want to keep this review as honest as I can. I am certainly not a fanboy nor am I one of those people on the hate band wagon.

First of all I bought this game soon after release. Back then I had quite a bit of fun with it for the first day or two playing it. However, after I had gotten a ship that I liked and explored somewhat far, I got pretty bored with it, and frankly disappointed. I found it to be a very pretty game and visually interesting but the gameplay was absolutely paper thin and bland.

After the first update (whatever that was called, can't remember) I came back to the game and built a base. That was enjoyable as it gave me some kind of purpose to mindlessly mine resources. I actually felt the same way as when I first played the game when it came out; happy and curious. However, once I had done all the NPC quests and had a fully built base, I again got super bored with it and quit the game again.

Now, as of the pathfinder update, I found enjoyment in the game again. Atleast for a little bit. The vehicles were cool and all but it didn't add much meat to the game and ended up not holding my attention for long.

All in all: No Man's sky does what it has somewhat well but has little to keep it interesting. I had fun with it for a time but I can't reccommend this game to anyone for the price that theyre selling it for. If you have cash to burn and are interested, buy it, otherwise wait for a sale or just don't buy it at all.

***Update as of NMS: NEXT***

No Man's Sky Next has completely revitalized the game. NMS with friends is really the way to play the game, and how it should have been from the start. Having people to explore, mine and build a colony with other people makes the tedium and loneliness of the game melt away. I still cant say this game is perfect in anyway. in fact its still flawed and quite buggy at times, but the friends make all the difference. I wish I could give this game a half up, half down, but I'm gonna give it a thumbs up. I've actually found myself enjoying the game for once since its initial release. As long as this game is on sale, pick it up with some friends, get in a universe and start exploring. Hopefully you'll have fun and enjoy what is slowly becoming a good game.

Overall absolutely puddle deep story in this dlc. Beat it in just a few hours of playing it. (Also the "good guy ending", where you kill all the raiders, skips all the questline and the dlc is over.) However, the area itself is very well designed, and adds some fun areas and somewhat memorable characters. Overall however I can not reccomend this dlc. It just felt too flat to me to deserve a thumbs up.

So, I've been playing this game for a while now and finnally thought I should review it. Lets get right into it shall we?

First off, lemme just say that this game, for being free, is really well optimized at least for my and my friend's rigs. The graphics overall as well are REALLY nice especially being a free game. I know that there are some other free games that have amazing graphics but this one (atleast for me) takes the cake. Now there have been some graphical glitches I've ran into but they're usually pretty minor. Speaking of glitches, this game MOST DEFINITLY has its fair share lemme tell ya. However, most of them usually get patched out the next hotfix so it's not that bad. There are also some hilarious ones so thats always a good laugh. As far as gameplay goes, this game wins it for me as well. The time and care that DE puts into each frame is amazing. Each frame is unique, has its own style and abilities. Even further from that the amount of weapons added into this mix makes it that much better. Then when you add in the mods, it makes the list of customization and amount of playstyles so much longer.

Now for the few cons:
Platinum. Need I say more? Well actually, I don't really have an issue with plat it's just expensive and I'm poor (from buying plat fml) Only reason I'm okay with it is because it supports the constant updates (and by constant I mean almost weekly).
Wait time. Theres a lot of it. Just get ready to wait for stuff you want. On average it takes most weapons 12-24 hours to make, warframe parts take 12 and the warframe takes a whopping 73 hours to craft. It's not bad persay but I still find it annoying even if it is to balence the game.

Other than this I cant really think of any other personal complaints I have with the game, really. Overall I would highly recommend this game to someone that likes PvE with some PvP games (sorta like Destiny I guess?) It's really a great game to sit down witha few friends and play the hell outta for an hour or two.

Let me first off state that I am a MASSIVE fan of this series and have played nearly every game they made. Initially I thought that people were just hating on the game because people are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. But nope. This game is so poorly optimized that it's really quite embarrassing. Its choppy, randomly crashes and the resolution is basically unchageable (the game set it at 1200x1000 or something like that while my monitor is more around 3000x1800). I regret to say that I am very dissappointed in this game. If/when it actually gets optimized for pc, I will play it any no doubt love it, but until then, it's going to be sitting there gathering dust.

Probably one of the most fun games I've ever bought one steam. Usually I dont like side-scroller like games but I am completely addicted to this game 10/10
