Even if your hardware is top of the line and brand new, this game is hilariously badly optimized. I crashed 3 times in half an hour: Once before making it to the main menu during shader loading, again while trying to auto-detect graphics settings with the benchmark, and another during the first combat sequence, which was running at sub-30 FPS even on the lowest settings. Unless your gaming rig costs more than my house, this is unplayable.

Wait a few years until they've done several more performance patches, you've upgraded your PC, AND it's on sale. It's not worth $20 in the current state, (Hello Silksong Enjoyers, you chose wisely), let alone $70, and certainly not $100 or $130 for the "Deluxe Editions", no matter how many stupid tweets Randy Pitchford posts (all variations of "Um, actually our game runs flawlessly, we've never heard a single complaint. Have you tried not being poor? ☝️🤓") doubling down that it's the player's fault their game runs like a geriatric, quadruple amputee english bulldog.

When I see people with brand new gaming rigs, easily $5000-$10000 better than mine, complaining about the exact same performance issues, crashes, having to enable all kinds of crutches (frame gen, DLSS, etc.) to pretend it runs better than it does, I know it's not a "my hardware" issue.
