RECOMMENDED, BUT NOT FOR FULL PRICE.

Firewatch takes you through a paranoid filled adventure in the wilderness. You spend your summer as a fire-watcher whilst getting to know another over your walkie-talkie.

Positives:
-The story is excellent and really draws you in with its superb pacing and dialogue. Unlike over reviews I enjoyed the whole story including the ending. Although it is short.
-Graphics are good and the art style is great.
-The world is small but interesting and works really well with the art style.

Negatives:
-Gameplay is next to none. You press buttons to interact instead of the player doing it themselves.
-Price is too high at £15 with a 2 hour story and basically no gameplay.

In conclusion, Firewatch is a ok game with a great story, as much as I recommend buying this game, personally I can't justify £15 for it, however anything below £12 is a good price.

It's simply amazing.

Kingdom Come Deliverance is a medieval RPG set in 1403. You are Henry a simple peasant who quickly finds himself in service to a lord whilst a bloody war ravages the Bohemian lands nearby.

Positives:
-The RPG elements are very good allowing you to build a character around different styles like, a warrior, thief, charismatic person, trader, etc. The play styles are reinforced by the perks which you unlock and choose throughout the game with many upgrading one stat but lowering another.
-The story is also very good which sees you in service to a lord. You will meet many different characters all with their own personalities as you are tossed into many different situations. It’s between 40-60 hours long depending on how many side quests you do and the level of speed you go about the story in.
-Realism is a big part of the game in both world and gameplay. You must learn how to fight, you must learn how to read, shops have set opening hours, you are punished for stealing, you must sleep, as well as many other things.
-The world is one of the biggest highlights of the game, you are truly transported back to the 15th century with its lush open fields and stone houses. A must buy for any history lovers.
-Combat is also good but challenging no matter the difficulty. It revolves around swinging, blocking and stabbing with enemies also making use of all three. You can’t defeat 5 people singlehandedly and will have to run or be killed.
-Graphics are great, even on mixed settings the game looks amazing.

Mixed:
-Side quests are a mixed bag, some are good some are bad. However, my disappointment is with side quests that almost just cut off without any further development. For example, you do numerous side quests with/for a character developing a relationship and seeing the character develop and suddenly you’ve done all the quests you can with them without any closure on the relationship or
character, and later when you speak to them its like they don’t even know you.

Negatives:
-Bugs. Despite the dev team patching numerous bag and glitches I still have encountered heads without bodies and chickens halfway in the air. However, I wouldn’t let the bugs put off any buyers as it is a minor thing.
-Crashes. I had two crashes in the final 3rd of the game which were nothing other than just annoying.

Conclusion:

This is a must buy for any RPG or history fan. Whilst the bugs and some of the side quests do let it down, the main story and gameplay as well as the world totally make up for it giving the player an amazing experience.

It's tense, its terrifying, its terrific.

Alien Isolation puts you on the Sevastopol Space Station in the middle of nowhere, you have to try and survive whilst the station falls into chaos, while also being stalked by the Alien. It's a great horrifying experience.

Positives:
- One of the best atmospheres I've experienced in a game. From your radar lighting up the locker your cowering in to the subtle robotic beeps from the various machinery. The immersion in is game is unreal.
- The gameplay is great forcing you to conserve different ammo and items for different enemies. Stealth is the primary way to play offering you different various routes to an objective. Do you take the quicker way with more enemies to pass or do you take the longer way risking more chance of encountering the alien?
- The Alien is very well done, it reacts to the amount of sound you are making forcing you to either try running for your life or slowly go about your business. It's completely random and doesn't follow the exact same path if you need to try the level again making it impossible to predict where its going to go. It's always lurking whether that's a nearby vent or the on the same floor.
- The space station is very well designed allowing you to explore various floors and sections of the ship.
- Truly horrifying.
- Sound design is second to none.

Mixed:
- Save Stations are the only way of saving your progress in the game, this will put some people off understandably. However I felt the game was so great because of the stress and anxiety of knowing if you die there would be the consequence of losing 20 minutes of gameplay forcing you to make your way back through the terrifying level. With the Alien's completely random encounters it makes it 10x more scary.
- The story has it's up and downs, its not amazing, its not terrible, its just ok.

There are some negatives.
- I experienced (as have others) a bug where a mission doesn't register as complete, forcing you to restart the mission from the beginning, what doesn't help is that it is one of the more terrifying missions in the game.
- The story starts to drag a little half way through the game, however, it does pick up again towards the end.

Overall, I would definitely recommend buying this game regardless of whether your a fan of the films or not, as it will terrify you regardless. If your are a hardcore fan of the series you won't be disappointed.
