Concerning your White Sun review, I think part of the reason the west doesn't discuss the Chinese Warlord era is because 1, the names are difficult to pronounce for westerners, and 2, it had little impact on the fate of western nations. Over the years, I have really wanted to get into the Romance of the Three Kingdom stories, but I always fall flat because I have no idea how to pronounce anything.
