I wish was a middle ground instead of thumbs up or down. But sadly that not a choice so for now gets a thumbs down.

Overall the game is pretty too look at, nice environments to explore, when you're not getting stuck on terrain or rocks or small objects.

Load times can feel long at some points. Checkpoint saving freezes the game for few seconds which is kinda annoying and every check point freezes so get use to it.

Gameplay isn't that good. Pretty much point and shoot with some abilities later on when you unlock them. Weapons feel ok, but kinda feel off when firing like has no impact when hitting enemy. You have two weapons a machine gun and pistol, as well vehicle a hover bike which is annoying to control and the only way to recharge it's weapon is driving around.

Minigame puzzles to hack/unlock chests are alright. The connect the dots one is pretty straight forward and simple, while the move side to side block one is easy enough but can be annoying at same time and I didn't enjoy it.

Story was subpar at best, it has it good points and bad. Voice acting was kinda weak in places. While 73-Q was charming little bot that made me smirk and laugh once and awhile. While main character I didn't really have much interest in she was kinda bland.

I finished the game in 5 hours, I wasn't rushing and I did side quests. Dev said was least 8 hours main story I don't know how I beat it so quick but I did.

So if your on fence about it I hope this helps.

Yakuza like a dragon has a great story to be told which starts out like typical yakuza like story then turns into a hell of a rollercoaster ride. Ichiban Kasuga is a great start for new story in Yakuza, he very different from Kiryu but in a good way. He goofy and likable as well strong well rounded hero.

Combat unlike other Yakuza games isn't a brawler like game, but a turn based combat JRPG game which adds nice elementsto the game. Changing up the formula of old brawlers. I think it a lovely touch to the game and is well done. Sure it is slow in some places and need grind out levels here and there but that typical JRPG for you.

Characters fair few of them, ones you'll like and others you won't. Only First three you get have more backstory then others but each character has his/her own personality. Each character has her/his own job class which others don't have. Lots of fun to enjoy backstory of each hero and get to know them during the story.

Lots of side activities to do during your game, from mini-games to dragon kart to gambling. Always something for you to do and see. The city is lovely to explore and enjoy.

Game is well worth it to play, Either buy it full price or on sale. Eitherway you won't be disappointed.
