168ada’s Introduction

Introduction

Hello, my name is Ada—my nickname—and I’m a well-known player specializing in Steam-based and Roblox games. While I primarily focus on games available on Steam, I also explore select titles on Roblox that offer unique and engaging experiences. Thank you for taking the time to read my introduction.

Why am I called “Ada”? Even though I’m male and it’s considered a female name?

I’ll be honest—I didn’t originally realize “Ada” was typically seen as a girl’s name. But over time, I grew to really like it. It feels unique and honestly suits me well, so I stuck with it.

On platforms like Discord and Steam, a lot of users assume I’m a girl when they see my name. It’s a common mix-up, and I often get referred to as “she/her.” But in reality, I’m a cisgender male, and I prefer to be referred to as “he/him.” That said, I don’t mind when people who don’t know my gender use “they/them”—not because I’m part of the LGBT community, but simply because it’s a neutral and respectful option when someone isn’t sure.

In fact, not everyone sticks to strictly gendered or “generic” usernames. Some people use names traditionally associated with another gender just because they like them—and that’s completely valid. For me, “Ada” is part of my identity, and I’m proud of it.

Influences

I’m often regarded as an extreme Steam-focused Roblox player—though not widely recognized, some in the community know my work. For those familiar with Roblox YouTubers like Re-Kaan , Solix , Kianish , and MustafaRBLX , I was the one who critiqued and “cooked” their Steam profiles. Interestingly, these creators are more than just fellow gamers—they’re some of my closest friends. Even though they have much larger subscriber counts, I take pride in having a deeper Steam library and more experience within the platform.

Additionally, I have gifted games to my friends on Steam, demonstrating that regional differences are not a limitation when it comes to supporting those you value. With the right approach, there are always methods to share experiences and connect across borders. For me, the Steam Wallet holds greater personal and strategic value than Robux, as it represents a commitment to meaningful, long-term gaming rather than short-lived in-game purchases.

How do I “cook” their profiles?

“Cooking” their profiles essentially means customizing and enhancing their Steam profiles to match their personality, preferred themes, and gaming vibes. While the process itself is relatively straightforward, one of the challenges I often face is working with limited accounts. In some cases, their profiles are restricted due to Steam’s account limitations. Out of kindness and collaboration, I’ve personally spent $5 to unlock their accounts, giving me the ability to fully enhance their profile and begin the creative process.

My approach is personalized—I design around their aesthetic preferences, gaming styles, or branding. While many Roblox YouTubers focus on Roblox GFX, I specialize in Steam Artworks. Although I sometimes use free assets, I’m continually learning how to create custom art pieces myself. These may or may not be Roblox-related, depending on the user’s theme and avatar style. Regardless, the goal is to make each profile look and feel authentic, stylish, and tailored to the individual.

It’s rare for Roblox YouTubers to come across someone like me. Most creators in that space don’t invest much time into their Steam profiles—or may not even be aware of their potential. That’s why content creators like Solix, Re-Kaan, Kianish, and MustafaRBLX were fortunate to connect with someone who specializes in this niche. They found an expert who not only understands Steam inside and out but also tailors profile customization to match their unique style and brand.

Why is my Steam level higher than theirs?

While their subscriber counts may be much higher than mine, my Steam level stands above theirs—and that speaks to a different kind of dedication. Unlike most of them, I’ve spent years investing in the platform, exploring its full potential, and building my profile. That’s why I consider myself the Steam leader of our core group. They may not be as experienced on Steam, but I’m always happy to help however I can. Whether it’s sharing tips, unlocking features, or improving their profiles, I support them with the same energy I bring to my own journey.

If you’re a fan of any of these YouTubers and notice a high-level Steam profile on their friend list—yes, that’s me. I’m the one supporting them behind the scenes, bringing my experience and customization skills to their profiles.

Why are you so calm, neutral, and wise?

I wouldn’t immediately call myself wise—but if that’s how others see me, I take it as a sign of growth. Over time, I’ve developed a calm and neutral mindset, especially when navigating online spaces where drama and negativity can escalate quickly.

There was a time when I wasn’t like this. I used to fall for ragebait and respond emotionally to things that didn’t even directly involve me. At the time, I thought I was defending myself or others—but in truth, I was only feeding the fire. Looking back, I recognize how immature and reactive that version of me was. It’s a phase I’m not proud of, but I don’t hide it either—because it’s part of how I learned.

Now, I’ve shifted my approach completely. I don’t jump into arguments, especially when they have nothing to do with me. I’ve learned to observe more, respond less, and only speak when it adds value. I don’t take sides in meaningless conflicts. Instead, I try to be the steady presence—the one who listens and thinks before reacting.

When Did I Start Liking DanMachi?

Toward the end of 2025, I frequently encountered images and artwork featuring characters such as Bell Cranel, Hestia, and Freya across various online platforms. These characters consistently caught my attention, and I became increasingly curious about the series they originated from.

That curiosity eventually led me to discover the anime Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, more commonly known as DanMachi.

After learning about the series, I began watching the anime and completed all available seasons, from Season 1 through Season 5. While I am not primarily a light novel reader, the anime adaptation alone left a strong impression on me through its world-building, character development, and emotional themes.

Although I currently engage with the series mainly through its anime format, my appreciation for DanMachi continues to grow. I now follow the franchise with genuine interest and am looking forward to the release of Season 6.

What Makes Me Like Bell Cranel?

My admiration for Bell Cranel has nothing to do with the typical “harem” aspect often associated with DanMachi, nor with how he attracts multiple female characters—particularly his interactions with Ais Wallenstein of the Loki Familia. Instead, what truly resonates with me are Bell’s personal traits and behavior.

Bell embodies kindness without naivety, resilience without bitterness, and strength without arrogance. He consistently refuses to hate, even when faced with hardship, betrayal, or overwhelming odds. Rather than giving up or turning cold, he continues to move forward with sincerity and moral clarity. These qualities place him firmly within what can be described as the Light Triad—principles aligned with Kantian ethics, humanism, and faith in humanity.

For me, Bell Cranel represents the kind of person I aspire to be:
calm, principled, drama-free, and grounded, someone who chooses growth over conflict and integrity over resentment.

Commissioning Bell Cranel Artwork

After developing this connection, I attempted to find artwork of Bell Cranel that truly reflected the version of him I resonated with across various online platforms, including DeviantArt, but I was unable to find something that felt personal or fitting.

As a result, I decided to commission a local artist I had previously connected with in 2024. The artwork I currently use is a fully animated piece with visual effects, commissioned for approximately $18 USD. Beyond the quality and customization, working with a local artist made the process significantly more accessible.

Due to issues with international payment platforms—such as my bank declining transactions on Ko-fi and DeviantArt—this option proved especially practical. The artist accepted local Indonesian payment methods, including GoPay, LinkAja, myBCA, and OVO, which made the transaction straightforward and stress-free.

How I Started Liking THE FINALS

In early 2025 (Season 5), about three months after receiving my new PC, I became curious about a game I kept seeing and hearing about: THE FINALS. Wanting to experience it for myself, I installed the game. Upon first launch, an Embark ID account was automatically created with a default username. Shortly after, I changed my Embark ID from FundedGeomorph to 168ada, and later to ADA.SECRET after joining the Team Secret Club tag, using the official Embark ID portal.

From the beginning, what stood out to me was the destruction system. The environment didn’t just look destructible—it felt alive and reactive. I’ve played Battlefield titles before, but despite paying for them, I never felt motivated to stay. Their destruction often felt scripted. In contrast, THE FINALS introduced something entirely different: real-time world dynamism. It felt organic, unpredictable, and immersive. Knowing that Embark Studios consists of former EA DICE developers made that design philosophy even clearer. To me, THE FINALS truly felt like the first world-dynamism shooter.

I started as a complete beginner:
- Level 0
- 0 wins
- 0 eliminations
- 0 revives

However, within just five months, I fully learned the game’s mechanics, modes, and meta. I consider myself a fast learner, and my current stats reflect that growth:
- Level 107
- Wins: ~1000
- Eliminations: ~17,000
- Revives: ~3,000
Peak Rank: Emerald 1 - Season 7 (World Tour)

At first, I believed I might be the only Indonesian player actively playing THE FINALS. Over time, I discovered there are many Indonesian players—some even more advanced than me—which motivated me further. As an Indonesian player, I found myself heavily invested in the game, both in time and financially, especially when it came to hunting Mythic skins.

I also realized that consistent improvement and higher win rates came primarily from playing Ranked Cashout and Casual Cashout, where teamwork, positioning, and decision-making truly matter.

At one point, I challenged myself by adopting a dagger-focused playstyle, inspired by Bell Cranel. Maining the dagger is one of the hardest playstyles in the game, especially mastering backstab mechanics, where a perfect 180-degree angle deals 320 damage. It was difficult, but deeply rewarding.

What ultimately made me fall in love with THE FINALS is the freedom it offers. While the classes (Light, Medium, Heavy) are fixed, the contestant is entirely yours. You can be whoever you want, play however you want, and define your own identity within the arena.

That freedom—combined with real-time destruction and skill expression—is why THE FINALS feels like home to me.

That's all! and thanks for reading <3
