Welcome to Verdun and Tannenberg x64 Administration Council

This group will serve as a way to communitcate amongst Verdun and Tannenberg x64 current and former admins as of September 26th of 2018. The purpose of this group will be for event planning, voting and polls, and dispute resolution (hopefully that will not have to happen)

Given the nature of this group only former and current admins and moderators of Verdun and Tannenberg x64 groups may become members.

This will be a closed group unnafiliated with the Verdun community where we shall discuss upcoming events, go over issues such as member retention etc, and discuss pressing issues for x64.

We will also use this group to form the Verdun and Tannenberg x64's Code of
Conduct, which upon ratification, will apply to all members of x64 regardless of rank in the group.

Disputes between admins of x64 groups shall be remedied here, I never want to see visible division between admins and mods on the main group again.

There are members of the x64 group who may very well be guaging us for weakness and it is our duty to show them no such thing

If you have an event you would like to plan it can be discussed, ratified, and given a time slot here.

The less time conflicts, the better.

What is discussed here stays here...with the exception of events

Most events can be posted to main group no earlier than seven days from the event, with the exception of complex events such as anniversaries and large format matches of 80 or more.

We will have a group discussion at least once a week and discussions will not begin until atleast 5 members are present, it is the duty of those present to inform those who were not of what was discussed. We will leave no one behind.

Major changes and rule revisions to x64 must be put to poll and 2/3rds vote carries the result.

Saturday June 22nd, German Grand defensive at Picardie followed by Somme Event

After a long dry-spell x64 is returning with a new event type...

Grand Defensive will be a stacked match in which all players are set to defend against a permanent attack from enemy squads of a particular nation.

Our first event will be the German Somme Defensive

In order to make the match as interesting as possible the commands will be in place...on the EU Server Custom Match

/setfactionspawntimemodifier central .01 (re-spawn as soon as death occurs)

All players in this match are encouraged to join the central powers

The goal is 32 to 64 players

We want,
1. At least 4 machine gunners
2. NCO's
3. Ideally we want all Central Powers Squads full

The match will last up to 25 minutes

There will be a quick warm-up match prior to the event starting around 11 am CST

The event will kick off at 11:15 AM CST

If you are interested...

At 12:30 PM there will be a special event in commemoration of the Somme, I will be on a mission trip to Guatemala on the last week of June through the 3rd of July so it may be a bit early this year.

The Somme Event will need Active players manning MG08/15's and a Handful of German Riflemen

I hope to have at least 4 to 6 LMG's in action

The rest of the players will have their choice of British or German forces

The British will be set on permanent attack which seems to have had it's primary (zombie bug) fixed.

This event will last up to 45 minutes and team/role switching is not discouraged. Feel free to change it up as you wish.

All events will be concluded by 1:15 PM CST

As always these events may find images or videos of them on social media so I ask all participants to keep it clean and classy. I have no problem with banter but we will draw a hard line on racist behavior.

WE WILL NOT HAVE A REPEAT OF 11/11

If you choose to help admin in this match and event you must keep your eyes open and act with no mercy upon disruptive players.

These words will result in immediate ban from the server

1. Racial Perjorative's - I really shouldn't have to spell these out
2. Heavy Profanity- We will have a three ♥♥♥♥'s your out policy
3. Sexually Inappropriate Commentary- Immediate Ban no Questions Asked
4. Unsportsmanlike Behavior- 3 strikes unless their behavior fall under category 1 or 3

Keep your eye out for any conduct that is counter to the spirit of remembrance, remember both of these events are based on a real life occurrence that killed tens of thousands in a single day.

I will be capturing footage to use for a video that will be posted sometime after I return.

The video will be similar in nature to Bury my Heart at Hartmannsweilerkopf and has already started with the text and sound editing.

New Event Type Idea Grand Defensive

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to hold off the full fury of a large scale enemy attack. You hold out for as long as you can against seemingly endless waves of enemies while trying to keep you and your chums alive.

As I have seen clear evidence that the permanent attacker un-dead bug has been fixed I am hoping to form a group of players who would play alongside each other defending against an endless torrent of AI enemies.

Unlike squad defense you will be able to re-spawn after being killed and you will have a bit of backup to help level the playing field

Spawn and ability modifiers will be put in place, the latter being periodically changed for effect

This will be a team stacked event and can run anywhere between 4 to 64 players

In order to keep the enemy at bay we will want full four man squads. The squad you register with will be the squad you do battle alongside. Ideally every player squad should have a gunner.

These will be high casualty matches and spawns will activate upon completion of death animation. Just press space

For a concept test I wish to form a a four man squad all of whom will for this purpose assume an LMG role.

The map will be Meuse Argonne
We will be taking the role of Landsers with MG08/15's and we will attempt to demonstrate crossfire against French troops the kit will be 1915 issue

These events will last 25 minutes each
The event is decided when time is up or when all lines are lost

Ideally players should adopt 2 squad roles

NCO and LMG's but they are also encouraged to take other roles if needed or desired.

If you wish to take part in this event let me know, for the protection of my own sanity this is an x64 event not a Colour Sgt Bourne event.

If one of you wish to go forward with recruiting for these matches I would appreciate it if my name were left out of it until the event begins

Until that day I am to be referred to as "A member of Verdun x64"

Sounds like a good concept. The group is still growing in numbers and there are already 3 events coming up. We are back in action. We also have Leo helping us host on public servers now so if you have a cool idea for an event we can make it happen with Leo
