Wino is a game about mining for wine (or wining as we call it) in underground wine-mines. Two rival companies, WINO Red and WINO Blue, compete constantly for the same reservoirs.

The game plays like a 2D Infiniminer. The two rival teams have to dig to find the underground wine, collect it, and bring it back to their respective wine-collection machines until they've met their game-winning quota (currently 100 gallons). This is all done while fighting the enemy team with wits, lava, and lasers.

This is class-based team game. Each of the 4 classes brings unique qualities and abilities to the table. (see the discussion for further details)

As a Wino beta tester, all you have to do is connect to the server when we do multiplayer tests. This will happen very rarely as the game is not worked on often. But when it does happen, there will be an announcement with the IP and link to download the newest copy of the game. You are in no way obligated to join the game and you won't be kicked from the group for not participating. Just please don't bother joining if never plan to play. Feel free to invite friends. The more the merrier.

Do to the finicky-ness of Steam's group-event system, it is highly recomended to subscribe to the comment thread below. I will leave a comment on the group page when a test has been scheduled. You should receive a proper notification (via the small green envelope on the right) when the schedule is posted.

Group members who productively participate in beta tests will receive a free copy of the game at our discretion.
