0.6.0 Brings WGP2W & WGP2L

As you might have guessed, this little clip shows, how to use RPF. Anyways, now, onto the more important stuff.

0.6.0 also gave us the ability to create clans. I noticed, that some guys're following these news and instantly started applying for WGP2W in-game group. However. there's a small catch in that. The limit of 30 people still remains the same, which kinda forced us to act.

WGP2W in-game group got filled up roughly 2 - 3 weeks ago and there're about another 30 people waiting to join, so we had 2 options:

A/ keep those 30 guys waiting another month or two (quite possibly even longer)

or

B/ create a second group and invite in the remaining people, so everyone can enjoy the epic new tag feature (which got fully implemented in this patch)

Rest assured, we went for the B/ option. However, that put us in front of a few awkward choices as well. WGP2W2? WGP2WX? WGP2WBRAVO? Anything would sound and look like a cheap copy-paste of the original one. At the same time, other names and tags were proposed, but it didn't quite resonate on the same frequency. We wanted something like: OMNI Fruits & OMNI Vegetables, Jing & Jang, Black & White. By saying *resonating on the same frequency*, we kinda wanted opposites, yet the same thing. We did a small test-run during the previous Winter King Tournament, which we entered as 2 teams, 1st was called WGP2W and 2nd was called WGP2L. As in: *Pay 2 Win* & *Pay 2 Lose*. It's the same thing, yet different and quite catchy.

Some people brought up the negative connotation of the name and those people I can calm down, because we never share the whole clan name. It's just there, but it's not at the same time. We can't be entering tournaments and calling ourselves Wargaming ..., that would not work and for those guys, you can at least picture in your mind, it could theoretically stand for *Pay 2 Live* or *Pay 2 Lick*, if you wanna sound dirty, a little bit. *Pay 2 Win* in itself has quite a negative connotation as well.

However, the biggest issue I rather see, is that we'll be forced to relocate some people and move them from 1 group to another. And some guys assume, if they're not in the same group as myself (t3h3th32) or GeneralOlsen, that means, they're kinda in some noob swamp or whatever.

Well then, the group, I'm (t3h3th32) in with GeneralOlsen has only room for 30 people, so by that simple definition, it's either that other group or nothing and don't look at me, I didn't invent this system. The thing is, we need to get rid of these misconceptions, because still, during our trainings, I'll lead 1 team and someone else will lead the other team and again, you have the same thing: *I'm not playing under t3h3th32 or GeneralOlsen, that means, I'm playing for the B team?!* and no, there're no such things as A team or B team.

We'll distribute players rather equally across both in-game groups, which means, both groups will have some new guys in there, as well as some senior members. You can actually see, who's a senior member and who's not simply by looking onto our Steam roster and there you can see it quite comfortably. Namely 3 of the best players this team had since the day, it got created, will be making an appearance in WGP2L and help to build its strong foundations, so when we have our internal trainings, it's not 5-0 steamroll for WGP2W. The last month is quite a telling example of how much the internal trainings improved and that you have competent and skilled players playing on both sides.

Simply the fact that WGP2W has Kamikazesushi on CV and WGP2L usually Admiral_Qwert doesn't mean WGP2L got the noob CV and we got the superior one. Admiral_Qwert is firstly a Unicum player and when he loses an engagement vs. Kamikazesushi, it's usually due to lack of experience and we're having those trainings to remedy that. Otherwise, we'd have to literally clone people to have a 50:50 MM, which will never happen.

So, all in all, don't try to find some hidden meaning in it, because there's none. We had to come up with a name and we chose the most hilarious one, after all and regarding our trainings, past 3 or 4 weeks clearly proved, it has nothing to do with the actual name, that's just some little internal joke.

So yeah, don't go crazy, if you suddenly realize, you got kicked from our WGP2W group and expect a quick re-invitation into our additional group.

This should also give me the opportunity to announce, that WGP2L will be led by a trio of very talented leaders:

1. Aschwell (Commander)
   
2. CountMordrek (Deputy Commander)
   
3. Admiral_Qwert (Deputy Commander)

So, during trainings, if they tell you something, you shut up and do it. WGP2L will be also supervised by K1NGP1N and quite a few WGP2W veterans will be making their appearance too. The core squad is based on our OMC line-up, which, hands down, was a team of people capable of beating OM quite easily actually, so don't think of it as a B team (that's a complete non-sense), think of it more like WGP2W vet team, where people go, because they finished their training in WGP2W and there's nothing more for them to learn.
