I can't edit my last post but I just also wanted to suggest another fun addition to the game.

Thruster missiles. Missle launcher can shoot thruster missiles that stick to target ship and have a limited fuel supply to activate a small thruster to interfere with the enemy ships flight pattern, causing guns to possibly miss or just plain chaos

Your game is amazing. Please add more.

Guns guns guns.

More complicated guns that are rewarding like the ion beams and particle acceleration guns. I wanna design my ship around the gun.

Ramming would be cool, or impact armor.
Drones? Tiny swarm of robot controlled drones with tiny guns on them.

More automation when it comes to engagements. I wanna have a small fleet of ships

Trading post beacon
Beacon added to your mothership or dedicated trade ship. that invites the AI random merchants to travel to your ship and trade with you (just a small amount of income reward per min/hr)

Also makes you a target of pirates ☠️
