I would put the Civ question into a discussion, higg, but I definitely reccommend it. Civilization III was my first "proper" computer game, so it has a nostalgia thing for me, and Civilization V is just as good. It is incredibly complex, and great from the point of view of this course it helps in understanding diplomacy, military tactics and the genereal running of a country. The Gods and Kings add on makes it even better with religion (I can't say anything for Brave New World as I don't have it) and espionage, but I reccomend playing the base game first before you splash out on G+K.

Hello, MOOC people! I thought this would be a cool place for us Steam users to meet up and game! We'll see where the course takes us and how many people join the group. In the meantime, if anyone has a better idea for the group avatar, let me know. I grabbed the old Nintendo controller off a free clipart site. I'm sure we can do better, but I'm not graphic artist.
