Character Tournaments

Here you can check out the rules of the tourney, get updates on upcoming tournaments, and stay up-to-date on the latest character additions and changes.

**INFO**
Don't know what the character tourney is? Basically, they're tournaments held on DN where participants get to play as characters from the Yugioh anime. All of the decks are pre-made for convenience and balance purposes. When you enter, you'll get an account name and password with your character's deck; no need to build it yourself!

**RULES**
Here are the rules of the standard character tourney:
-An announcement will be made on /vg/ when the tourney begins accepting entrants. You reply to that post, and you post 4 or more characters you'd like to play as, in order of preference.
-Make sure you provide a DN name.
-The tourney starts 1 hour after the post is made, or a set amount of people sign up.
-Standard rules: best 2/3 matches, side decking is allowed, single elimination.
-You need to host in Traditional.
-Each character has a 40 card deck with a 15 card side deck. You can swap or add any cards from the side deck into your main deck before each match, and you can swap cards before the 2nd and 3rd game like normal.
-You may NOT modify the decks outside of swapping between the main and side deck. We will publicize the deck lists, so look them up if you suspect your opponent has modified his deck.
-The winner of the tourney faces off against a "boss". This is just for fun.
-For these tourneys, properly Summoning Gate Guardian or Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth count as win conditions.

Basically, these're a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of fun to play and watch. It's just like one of my Japanese animes!!

**WATCHING**
If you want to just hang back and watch the tourney, log on to DN, turn your mode to Watch, then filter "vg:" to see what character matches are going on.
