Weldome to the VDV GRU

The VDV GRU is a multinational ArmA Realism Unit.
We are a gaming group based on the Russian VDV Air Mobile Assault Battalion.
We have had enough of the western orientated clans out there and want a REDFOR alternative which still meet a level of realism and expertise matching the level of seriousness that some of the BLUFOR orientated realism units out there provide.

We invest a lot of time on the backgrounding stories, articles about the political and strategic situations in our Operations, giving the members some in-depth realism bordering to role-play.

We are not a 100% accurate as to Russian army structured, but we pay much attention to the realistic and simulations aspects surrounding equipment we use but most of all, a serious and realistic military approach.
We are centered around Central Europe, but we accept all, provided their ping and availablity is in order.
When in the field, we follow a strict command chain in a platoon motorized structure.
We enforce strict radio communications once we are engaged in the operation.
