I was 14 when I started doing 3D models and I was about 9 when I started to be interested in programming(Still not doing much to learn how to program though lol). Joined pipeline about 3 month ago, I was 15.

Just to give you a heads up, They aren't making any 3rd games at the moment. Because Valve is mostly working on their console right now the [Steam Box™] The steam box is the most hard thing they are working on right now, and they don't have that much people who work for them only about 50-60 people off all working there. So they would not have the time to work on making games while they are working real hard with their consoles.

And where did you got these informations?

You could start by learning how to use the hammer tool on the Source SDK, it's a map editor I belive. You can also look at tutorials online to learn how to use it.

To make 3D objects, I use 3Ds Max, if you want to create character, then 3Ds max and mudbox or ZBrush. I never actually tried the hammer tool(or something like that) so I could not really tell you how to make levels with it.

You are already in Pipeline and you don't just start a game studio, you need to know how to make games, or at least to know how to program, do models, artwork or something like that and you also need other people to work on the game with you. You can't work in the video game industry if you know nothing about it and cannot contribute to it.

I'm not trying to be lazy. This is just listing schools that contain courses that correspond. Chosing which one is right for them is their job. If you're so worried about people being and looking for help, then leave the group because that's primarily what Pipeline was founded for. To help highschool students get a start in the industry. I'm not making people do work, I'm using this for a reference that helps everyone. But clearly, you just want them to do it themselves.

There is a difference between asking question about the video game industry and asking other people to do simple things for you. If we would list all the school that have a program that is somewhat related to a job in the video game industry, we would list almost every college and university. There is a difference between lazy and curious. If you want to ask a question, try to find the answer before asking it to people on forums.
