Official TW L4D2 Group

In an attempt to fix some of the silliness that's been going on on the server for a while (damage bonus being applied to break ties only in cases where the phases of the moon are properly aligned, hordes that don't come during panic events etc.) Porkchop and myself have added the L4D2 "Fresh" Config to the server.

This is not, as you might think, a fresh configuration file - Fresh is just its name. It's an add-on for Confogl 2.2.2 (the last version released, which was in 2010) that attempts to pick up where Confogl left off and make it more compatible with newer changes to the game (such as L4D1 maps.)

Fresh should - SHOULD - have fixed some of the issues that we've been complaining about, but more thorough playtesting is required to make sure.

In addition to making certain Confogl elements work the way they should have in the first place, Fresh also makes a few more, optional changes via the use of extra plugins. Porkchop and myself have combed them for the ones that we think would suit the server and its community, and have thus included the following ones on a **TRIAL BASIS**:

1. Anti-Bunnyhopping (Not that this was a problem anyway)
2. Dumpsters, forklifts etc. should no longer magically despawn unless the tank is dead
3. No SI friendly fire (Unfortunately we couldn't remove this for tanks, so tank punches can still kill SI)
4. Survivors can no longer hear unspawned SI moving about
5. "Double get up animation" glitch fixed
6. Third person shoulder cam disabled
7. Spitters won't spawn during tank fights (because they were useless; you'll get a lot more boomers during tanks now)
8. BLIND INFECTED - GHOST SI CAN NO LONGER SCOUT AHEAD TO SEE WHAT ITEMS ARE IN THE MAP. This is the biggest and most important change. If you're trying to scout ahead as an SI, you will now see NO ITEMS AT ALL until one or more survivors has seen them. This could potentially cause some upset but we'll try it out.
9. Damage done to the tank by player (and, if he's still alive, his remaining HP) will now be printed in chat at the conclusion of a tank fight

That's it. Let me know if there are any problems or if any of these extra changes particularly irk you.

There will probably still be some standard l4d2 nonsense happening but hopefully this should have reduced it considerably.
