Hello Trireme,

Just thought I would leave a little heads up that the current steam awards for 2019 are currently underway. These are a great way for you show appreciation for your favorite new game but also grant a steam badge as well as XP towards your next steam level!

For those of you that are not familiar with steam levels, your steam level can be found on your profile page to the right of your name. The higher your steam level the more friends you can have and the more you can customize your profile on steam. To upgrade your profile you have to complete badges, some badges can be completed for free such as the Community Leader Badge and the Gem Maker Badge but most badges are completed by completing sets of trading cards which can be obtained by playing games or buying them Steam Community Market.

The 2019 Steam Awards are another free opportunity to get steam XP so I would strongly recommend participating in them here you obtain 25 XP each for the following tasks

- Nominating one game
- Nominating a game for each category
- Play a game you've nominated
- Review (or update your review) for a game you've nominated

You can earn up to 100XP so it is worth your time if you are on a budget and trying to get those steam levels.
