Before we established the Tower Unite Bans group, we confirmed with the developers that in-game bans are publicly available. Therefore, private channels weren't necessary for accessing this data regarding past and current bans.
We believe everybody should have access, or nobody should have access.
Public
PixelTail Games is aware of another group within Tower Unite that possesses the ban list. Bugc’s discussion further elaborates on how sharing this data with a broader audience has, as expected, annoyed their self-appointed moderator group. These player mods derive a sense of power by muting players and meticulously tracking each ban’s reasons and frequency in dedicated channels - almost as if they were following a point system.
This is the problem.

In August, we were compelled to delete the thread contents after Valve’s request. Rather than discussing it with us, PixelTail seemed to alter its stance on ban list access, now restricting it from public view. MacDGuy also claimed our actions were malicious, we assume this statement is directed towards the hyperlinks that are still accessible for anyone who searches the web. We merely compiled the information for convenience.
MacDGuy, however, has shown a tendency to deflect criticism and will use any means necessary to shut down discussions about their practices.

Bans
To make matters worse - I don’t even play Tower Unite , yet I’ve been banned.
This makes the unfair bans many of you experience actually within the game more apparent than ever, and if they’re extending bans beyond the game itself, it’s something we should all be concerned about.
Please do not resort to secrecy, because transparency and fairness are paramount in our community.
